As most of you know, my daughter was born extremely premature - she weighed only 1.5 pounds when she was born at 25 weeks.
To commemorate her tremendous recovery and to help raise money to improve the health of all babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and
infant mortality, we participate in the annual March of Dimes 'March for Babies' event. This year, the walk is April 25 (tomorrow!),
the same day as Sadie’s birthday.
Over the course of the past four years, we've raised over $16,000. And every year, the Thorp Board represents a significant percentage of those
contributions.
Our goal this year is a tough one - $3300 – but if we reach it, supporters of Team Sadie will have helped raise over $20,000 in just five years; a
humbling accomplishment.
Please consider contributing any amount. I will take a single dollar with great enthusiasm! Also, please feel free to repost or spread the word to
your friends and family if you think they’d be interested.

today was a long day.
up at 5, at the walk site by 6 to start setting up.
team arrived at 9 - about 12 of us this year.
had to cut the walk a little short to get to ballet recital.
HA!
lunch, then over to the color fred's house for a birthday party.
500 kids runnin around that joint.
hope the kids sleep in tomorrow.
we're up to about $1,500.
confident we'll break $2k this week
but meeting our goal is unlikely.

the site is a little weird.
there's my personal page at marchforbabies.com/teamsadie, then there's an actual team page that serves as an umbrella for all of the walkers on our
team. no one else creates a page, so it's just mine under the umbrella page. BUT, you can donate through that umbrella page in addition to the
personal and every year someone does.
So the umbrella page is the actual total and it is a few bucks higher than my personal page shows. Whew.

Our grand total for 2009 came to $3,341.36.
That brings the five-year total for Team Sadie to $20,048.
Members of the extended Thorp Family - board members, band members, business partners - always account for a significant percentage of contributions
