mattybar - 4-27-2009 at 09:24 AM

i saw this kinda recently and was beyond disappointed with it.

it was all just a bit ridiculous really.

the bit where Willem Dafoe is poncing around with the opera music playing... wtf was that?
Pretentious shite.

haha, just read that back and i sound so bitter.
please excuse me, just having a bad morning. :ticking:

clevohardcore - 4-27-2009 at 09:51 AM

BDx13 - 4-27-2009 at 11:06 AM

That was the problem I had at first. I like the movie now... go figure.

XHonusWagnerX - 4-27-2009 at 01:12 PM

I saw it a while ago based on recomendations from A LOT of people and I didnt really like it either. I dont know if I didnt get it, or if I didnt pay attention enough or what, but I wouldnt say I liked it.

clevohardcore - 4-27-2009 at 01:20 PM

It seemed fake and corny.

The sequel was filmed 4-5 years ago, so I'm not sure what the hang up is.
I thought the Dafoe shit and the opera stuff totally made the movie. Fucking hillarious.

defstarsteve - 4-27-2009 at 05:16 PM

I agree Dafoe in drag is proabably the best thing i've seen in years

That's is actually the draw for me. Weird

JawnDiablo - 4-28-2009 at 10:01 PM

I don't think anyone popped the DVD in thinking they would be watching anything realistic though...

Nope, filming actually just wrapped in December. They did it in town here.

MarkV - 4-29-2009 at 09:44 PM

Did they refilm or something? I know people who were involved and on set previous to St Pats in 05.

DeathByForce - 4-30-2009 at 10:58 AM

No idea. Maybe a lot of the shots around Boston were filmed then? But a good majority of the actual film was done in Toronto/Hamilton, Canada. There are videoblogs up on youtube.
