two bands i've never gotten to see live.
i'll be shootin for AC.

THORP - 5-5-2009 at 04:37 PM

D - that'd be one I might have to attend

newbreedbrian - 5-5-2009 at 05:49 PM

odd combo there. Both are great live, I'd definitely be there if I lived anywhere near those places

JawnDiablo - 5-5-2009 at 06:10 PM

I want to hit the AC show and make an overnighter outa it....but god damn it is labor day weekend so you know the hotel rates are gonna be through the roof in AC..
we'll see.
maybe it'll hit Philly, but an AC trip sounds killer.
Hopefully me and Moira have jobs still...

Dave - 5-5-2009 at 09:27 PM

i'd goto that for sure, seen both twice.....

As much as I love Motorhead and would love to get to see them again, I don't think I could put myself through the torment of Horton Heat for them.

I have a feeling the Rev may be closing the show.

BDx13 - 5-7-2009 at 04:15 PM

really?
what self respecting band would dare take the stage after lemmy?

half the reason i want to go to this is because of the venue size.
i was at ac hob for dkm and angel city outcasts last year.
it's a good size, but still feels reasonably intimate.

Really? I'm pretty out of the loop but I didn't think they had gotten that big. Regardless of who's got a bigger draw/name I think it would flow a lot better with Motorhead following rhh. Anything after Motorhead would feel anti-climactic.

MarkV - 5-7-2009 at 05:35 PM

Motorhead aren't that big and generally don't play very big rooms, esp in the past 10 years or so.

Last time Rev HH played LA they did the Wiltern which is close to 3000 and the time before they did 2 nights at 1500 cap rooms. In their heyday, they were doing very well, then dropped off for a few years, but are definitely worth a good amount of people.

Flow-wise, I totally agree.

I'm sure it's a "co-headline" which could see them flipflopping depending on market or whatever, too.

defstarsteve - 5-7-2009 at 05:50 PM

well the good news is if the rev is closing the show it's an early night and gives you more time to hit the tables, and you don't have to sit thru it

For some reason I thought you hated Motorhead. Maybe I was just lumping them in with the entire metal genre which you seem to hate.
