I use a variant of the neti pot and it's probably the single best thing I've found for my chronic sinus trouble. I have bad seasonal allergies and get sinus infections at the drop of a hat and the thing I use works wonders. The brand name for it is Nasaline and it basically looks like a bizarre cross between a syringe and a turkey baster. I call it the skull douche and I honestly swear by it. It comes with little packets of purified salt that you mix with 8 ounces of warm water, suck it up into the contraption, and then slowly push it through one nostril so it comes out the other one. It takes some getting used to for sure, but it really is amazing.

Fuck that.

JawnDiablo - 5-12-2009 at 10:20 PM

it works
Tireiron reccomended it to me last summer for alergies.
I never tried it, but a lady at work has used it ans says yes it works.

tireironsaint - 5-12-2009 at 10:39 PM

Indeed it does. Matter of fact, my allergies are acting up and I'm about to go douche my skull right now for some relief before bed.

I use a Neti Pot, it's great.

Looks crazy but if it works I might have to check this out. I always get real bad sinus infections.

XHonusWagnerX - 5-13-2009 at 06:03 AM

I have a friend that uses one and says it works great, but I've never tried it.

Dave - 5-13-2009 at 07:25 AM

The thing about the Neti pot is this... it takes some getting used to, AND you have to make sure you breath through your mouth and don't swallow... because you don't want the water to come into your mouth. Other than that... it's pretty easy, works great, and the feeling of water sloshing through your sinuses is kind of interesting.

barc0debaby - 5-13-2009 at 10:38 AM

Seems almost like waterboarding.

clevohardcore - 5-13-2009 at 12:30 PM

Grandma Clevo uses one, but I never have. Seems like a near death experience. Too much fate being tested with that item.

Furly - 5-13-2009 at 05:46 PM

If I had a major case of the death and Santa left one at my house I'd try it.

Not hardly unless you're snorting drano but then you're going to be taking the dirtnap most likely. On another note, a girl I was dating used that Neti Pot and it worked for her.
