Long weekend. Any plans?

BDx13 - 5-22-2009 at 01:05 PM

Grilling with the inlaws tomorrow.

Trying to paint the front porch.

Building a mini-site and designing some posters for a nonprofit.

Hanging insulation tonight then watching the Cleveland Cavaliers destroy Orlando in evening. Tomorrow setting it this canopy for the patio on Saturday then running and Sunday having a cookout for family. Grilling burgers and brawts. Drinking Guinness draught in a bottle. Weather is looking nice too so I am really looking forward to enjoying a weekend for a change. Hope everyone else does too.

Not a long weekend for us, but unpacking and drinking, at the same time.

Discipline - 5-22-2009 at 02:18 PM

I'm going to stay in bed, eat corn chips, and masturbate.

upyerbum - 5-22-2009 at 02:21 PM

I'll be packing and drinking at the same time.

upyerbum - 5-22-2009 at 06:02 PM

I'm not sure that either is advisable. :barfy:

All Star Game for my son's one baseball leauge.
He is picked to play 1st base / bat cleanup...as usual.
He got called up by the leauge commishoner to coach the minors boys all star team too (ages 9-10). He is stoked.
Plus our anual hit a thon to raise money to keep the leauge going great and getting better every year.
other than that, might borrow pops grill for some steaks, some phillies games and many beers.

DaveMoral - 5-22-2009 at 10:21 PM

I just got home from spending 3 days working in the Columbia River Gorge. Sleeping in Hood River OR... home of Tofurky and Soy Delicious "non-dairy frozen dessert" and alot of wineries and brew places many of you cats would probably be into... working in White Salmon WA. Hotel and food was all on the company tab.

Taking wallpaper off the walls is alot more physically demanding than putting it on the walls.

JawnDiablo - 5-22-2009 at 10:24 PM

peeling wallpaper sucks...foreal.

DaveMoral - 5-22-2009 at 10:30 PM

5 rooms dude. Between 8 and 9 hours each day... add the two hour drive to get to the job on the first day. Twas a long day, and the motel I stayed in had weak ass pillows and just one of those like all tile shower chambers with the requisite shitty shower head.

beaner - 5-23-2009 at 03:18 PM

Standing the mid watch (or the balls as we fondly refer to it, military time 0000) tonight. catch a few hours of sleep then get up for section turn over and then home james, home. As you celebrate this weekend I ask that you remember what it is we have set this day aside for. Just this week we had an SH-46 Seahawk go down from the deck of USS Nimitz on the west coast with three confirmed dead and two MIA presumed dead. Even routine ops can go horribly wrong for us on any given day, it dosen't have to be on the streets of Baghdad or in the mountain ranges of Afghanistan. Dangerous job it is, dangerous. Thanks all for your continued respect and support.

DAK - 5-23-2009 at 09:09 PM

Much respect Voodoo.

CR83 - 5-26-2009 at 11:17 PM

Voodoo rules.

That is all.

clevohardcore - 5-27-2009 at 08:18 AM

I got to say that most of us take it for granted. Not one single person mentioned the military or the reason for the day off within our party. It wasn't until Monday when we took the boy to the parade. Everyone is so bent about the economy and being broke to give thanks it seems. Sad, because it should not be this way.

Can anyone guess what I am?
I'm a douche-bag spammer!
Who knew?!
