XHonusWagnerX - 6-3-2009 at 01:40 PM

AWESOME!!! I like very little in terms of new hardcore, but I'm a big fan of Refuse/Resist, Powerpoint & Bulldog Courage. I'll be honest and say that I havent checked out 20 Bulls Each which I should and will.

Awesome to see that new stuff is coming!!

Rock on. Thorp Mafia for life.

DAK - 6-3-2009 at 04:11 PM

Congrats to Shawn and Gareth and crews. My Turn To Win are good, I have that last album. I am glad to see the Bulldog Courage is out.

clevohardcore - 6-3-2009 at 04:16 PM

Awesome news for your message board bro's with the signing of REFUSE RESIST and 20 BULLS EACH. Now if they would just play Cleveland. :P

DAK - 6-3-2009 at 04:30 PM

I have a complaint about the digital download. After you unzip the file the track names are listed as Track 1 and etc. The band name and album name are there but no track name.

Not that we didn't try, It would have beat the shitty happenings at Bernie's Distillery in Columbus (they let all of the "regulars" in for free and we got 20 bucks to split between Everybody Out and us.)

bombidol - 6-3-2009 at 04:48 PM

20 Bulls are back in the states early next year (hopefully before that if possible) and we WILL be hitting Cleveland.

thanks, dak.
info like this is always helpful.
to clarify...
- which release?
- do you mean the file names as you see them after unzipping in windows or the ID3tags that display all the info once loaded to a music player?

Bulldog Courage - From Heartache To Hatred
ID3 tags

BDx13 - 6-3-2009 at 05:00 PM

Ah, that's not surprising. We didn't rip that ourselves, or else that would have been done!

I'll make those changes sometime next week, pass them on to MerchNow, and also resend you a copy.

Don't worry about sending me a copy. I typed them in. Just letting you know.

bombidol - 6-3-2009 at 05:15 PM

we are totally staying at your house. and random, dibs on your living room floor too.

THORP - 6-3-2009 at 05:18 PM

BTW - props goes out to Texas Gabe for drawing the tattoo motifs used as background on the new site.

JawnDiablo - 6-3-2009 at 05:43 PM

wrong country for the time frame. :) but if i have a living room in zurich, you guys are free to crash in it. i get the impression that country can use some hardcore instead of all the metal i seem to find.

random - 6-3-2009 at 05:47 PM

oh, and the new site and all the news are great. but, can i suggest you trickle these things out a bit... makes the label seem more active. i think many of us were afraid thorp was essentially dead as a label, except for the rare release every so often.

bombidol - 6-3-2009 at 05:51 PM

Well now it just got a shot in the ass (not sexually)!
Random, you are in the UK at the moment no? Thats what I meant, we are trying to get back over there asap. I know Skeleton Crew are in Scotland next month at somestage then bulls soon after I think

THORP - 6-3-2009 at 05:57 PM

Will trickle stuff out from here on out, but after some time of idleness, Big D. and I liked the idea of slapping youz with a slew of stuff at once.

tireironsaint - 6-3-2009 at 06:12 PM

I like the big spurt of activity, you guys have signed some good bands too! I think it's awesome to see some of the board locals getting to officially join the label now too.

random - 6-3-2009 at 06:12 PM

THORP - yeah, i agree. and since i'm watching a good 10-minute live video of hudson falcons on youtube right now, might i recommend that SGR pick up whatever the hell mark linskey does next? (live set - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHVUDBzT4ak&eurl=http%3A%2F%2...)

gar - i'm in the UK now, but only for a few more weeks (early july at the latest, at least that's the plan for now). then probably back to the US for a month or so, then off to switzerland for a few years.

upyerbum - 6-3-2009 at 07:06 PM

Wow. Congratulations.....to everyone.

AND STL!

bombidol - 6-3-2009 at 08:44 PM

Tell you what, I'm trying to nail down a deal with a tour booker in the states as organizing everything from here can be a fucking nightmare. When its all sorted I'll let everyone know and they can just tell their local promoter to sort it out.
I got so stressed booking the 08 tour in the states I literally went blind in my left eye for a day.

Its 1.40am but im drinking rum and ginger ale. Its fucking foul. Rock on.

hardtone - 6-3-2009 at 09:30 PM

Congrats boys & girls, 20 Bulls & Bulldogs are two of my favs. It's good to see bands that actually deliver the goods get recognized...

SS76 - 6-3-2009 at 09:36 PM

Congratulations to 20 Bulls Each and Refuse /Resist, 2 bands I've read about here for awhile and went out to see and meet. You're some cool fuckin guys and I've made each of you at least a dozen fans by going to the shows or blastin your music at partys on the weekends. Its cool to see my friends wearing your shirts when we hang out. Shawn, I'll see you at that show saturday. Unfuckingbelievable lineup. Bulldog Courage and My Turn To Win....definately a fan. Hit up some CT , RI, MA shows when you can. Can't wait to see you live.

Dave - 6-3-2009 at 10:46 PM

fuckin wicked...

congrats shawn and garth.

defstarsteve - 6-3-2009 at 11:01 PM

DAK - 6-3-2009 at 11:39 PM

The website looks awesome BD.

THORP - 6-3-2009 at 11:42 PM

clevohardcore - 6-4-2009 at 12:12 AM

EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!! ATTABOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is great news for all us on the board. New vigor, new releases, especially really good bands. The fact that some of them are board regulars is icing on the cake.

I want a heads up if any of you head my way. We have to meet up.

Ed - 6-4-2009 at 09:27 AM

Really glad to hear about Refuse Resist! You guys deserve this.

bombidol - 6-12-2009 at 02:18 PM

dont read the comments.

ShawnRefuse - 6-12-2009 at 02:47 PM

the comments are like anywhere haha. Only people who have time to comment on sites like that are as Shane summed up really well:

"for someone of your obvious superior intilect it prolly didn't take you but a few seconds between myspace commenting that chick you'll never fuck and google searching the address of that kid that picked on you in high school. by the way, your mom said when your done doin that, make sure you take the garbage out...she's not letting your 20 something loser ass live at home still for nothin ya know?" -shanebdc

Happy to be on the same label as him. Hahah.

BDx13 - 6-12-2009 at 03:27 PM

comments, comments, comments...that's all they are. like i said before, rarely read 'em, never rely on 'em. of course it sucks when people talk trash, but honest to fucking god, i've got so many better things to do with my time than worry about anonymous mudslinging and internet drama.

that said, shane's response is pretty funny.

Voodoobillyman - 6-20-2009 at 10:20 AM

THORP and Big D, I am formally submitting a request for more vintage Navy themed shirts. Maybe something in the way of formaqtion years, late 1700's to early 1800's, tall ships with broadside attacks and such. Cool paintings out there to be used :spin:
