Who had that CD? That thing may be the definitive punk rock compilation of the 90's in my opinion. I loved that shit a lot.

was that the cd of punk covers?

Mark Lind - 6-5-2009 at 04:22 PM

Yes.

i remember seeing it, but never actually picked it up.
if i remember correctly, there was a second one, too.

There are two...the one with Tears of Frustration doing DRI is the best one though....also has Yuppicde doing the Specials and KYI doing ST, one or two other good ones. ToF doing 'Yes Ma'am' though is just over the top.

They were both pretty solid. Still have them.

Blackout Records put out both Vol 1 and Vol 2.
Inhuman is on the vinyl and European version of Vol 2 doing "New Rose" by the Damned.
Both comps were great.

I have both of them.

Yuppicide doing Concrete Jungle is excellent.

Thinking back on it, having Ducky Boys on Vol 2 was probably one of the highlights of my life at the time. Vol 1 was a big part of getting the band up and running cuz I was so jazzed on it. 1998/99 were good years for me.

i was gonna ask if that's where your version of razors in the night ended up. i was trying to find that song the other night.

I love the Ducky Boys cover of Razor's in the Night, thats the reason I bought the album. Ducky Boys is one of my favorite bands of all time.

Is Blackout still around and active anymore?

MarkV - 6-6-2009 at 10:04 PM

I don't think they've released anything in a few years.
