bass strings

allright ya'll.... I've been playing bass a little and I need new strings. The thing is that its been SO long since I bought bass strings (probably 5+ years) that I'm not sure what gage/brand to get.

Back in the say I used to use GHS Boomers but that was a LONG time ago. I want a string for a decent chunky hardcore sound while tuned to standard E.

Suggestions?

i've certainly tried quite a few different brands/sets but i always come back to these. been playing them for quite a long time. takes a few hours of playing till i get the tone i like but after that they're perfect.

Yeah, those Super Slinkies do the trick.

the last set I bought were boomers because it was the only set in the whole stupid store that ran a .95 e string.
I have a brass nut and it wont fit anything larger...

I forget what brand I used to get but I think they were ernie ball, but it's been so damn long.

my bass runs really light strings but gets amazing highs.
