Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

Today millions of people will gather

barc0debaby - 7-7-2009 at 10:45 AM

Not for political justice in Iran and Honduras

Not for economic justice in America

Not to contribute anything towards the betterment of the world

Today millions of people will gather to mourn the death of a child molester.

It pisses me off that people worship him like a god when he is just a low life child molester.

Six66Mike - 7-7-2009 at 11:25 AM

I'll be sleeping through it and skipping the news tomorrow, who cares.

clevohardcore - 7-7-2009 at 11:43 AM

this is a reflection of who your neighbors are. Remember that.

ShawnRefuse - 7-7-2009 at 11:48 AM

Agreed, but ignorance is bliss and there are millions of happy mofos right now. (My drummer included who looks at the music and not the man) I feel bad for those who can't see it. Anyone who touches a kid deserves to be in the dirt.

He was awesome in Hangover. But yeah we forgive celebrities ALL THE TIME. It's not right.

I'm not defending his actions in any way, but I think MJ was a great performer. (I can feel the hate coming my way )

Also, I love how no one holds the parents of these kids responsible at all. After the first accusation of him touching little kids, wouldn't the parents of the 2nd kid say "hey you know, maybe I shouldn't be putting my child in this situation" But oh well. I try to separate Michael Jackson (Music) from Wacko Jacko (Kid toucher).

ShawnRefuse - 7-7-2009 at 12:26 PM

Mike, maybe because you share a namesake you can feel compassion for him, and yes the parents (if they knew) are accountable, but he was a sick fuck and honoring him is not cool. I'll debate you more on this at practice tonight haha. But, all kiddie touchers should have done to them the same thing that happened to the guy in Hostel 2. Who cares if they are talented, it's not a free and open invitation to be a failure at life and destroy people along the way. Good riddance.

MikeResist - 7-7-2009 at 12:38 PM

I don't feel compassion for him or anything. If you molest children, you are scum, no doubt about it. But IMO he was a great entertainer. Yes he was a kid toucher and there is no excusing that, but that still doesn't take away the fact he was a great entertainer.

What you are saying is that basically because he was a child molester that automatically throws away 30 years of prior music.

SO everything up until 1993 was good.

There is nowhere to escape this.

upyerbum - 7-7-2009 at 02:48 PM

Fuck Michael Jackson, I'm glad he's dead. Gary Glitter's arrest hit me closer to home, anyway, oh and fuck him too.

Discipline - 7-7-2009 at 03:03 PM

Fuck Jackson and his whole fucked up family.

barc0debaby - 7-7-2009 at 04:25 PM

He was a great performer, and I am a huge fan of the Jackson 5. That much I will give him.

My main problem with the Michael Jackson story is that it is glaring reflection of what I see wrong in our society. Jackson was obviously victimized as a child and should have been institutionalized instead of being put on a pedestal. It is a poor reflection of our society for simply ignoring the fact that this guy had some serious mental health issues. Coming from a background of abuse it enrages me to no end that people willingly turned a blind eye to behavior that forever scars the children that he victimized.

Immortal technique sums up my feelings on the fans at the memorial

"If you go platinum it's got nothin' to do with luck / it just means that a million people are stupid as fuck "

I agree.

Let's not show respect about the soldiers being killed overseas or the police officers being shot and killed in the line of duty or the firefighters that have an entire roof collapse in on them. Let us show respect to the man that had a pet monkey and liked to hang out with 10 year old kids.
