I don't remember if I told this story here...so in a nutshell...
A friends band has a practice spot in Chicago near Chinatown, basically an old commercial building someone rented band rooms out in. For a period of
time last year or the year before Anthrax actually practiced there in the basement of this building (I have no idea why they were in Chicago). They
apparently had some type of guards at the steps going down there to make sure no one could get close enough to hear any of their music.
Nothing groundbreaking, just amusing that a band who hasn't written a good album in almost 20 years is worried about a riff getting ganked. It
definitely wasn't a crowd issue, maybe 3 bands practiced there and it was easier to get into Fort Knox than this building so it's not like some troops
of Anthrax fans were going to crowd their spot. I guess whenever the guys would emerge into the rest of the building they weretotal douchenozzles to
the other bands. |
