MikeFromInhuman - 7-22-2009 at 02:03 PM

YIKES! WTF?
Get Belladonna back or break up...just my opinion...

XHonusWagnerX - 7-22-2009 at 02:16 PM

seriously what are those guys doing!?

maybe they need Sammy Hagar as a singer.

I agree about Belladonna too. Either that or have Scott sing.

MikeFromInhuman - 7-22-2009 at 02:24 PM

And they just recorded a brand new cd with this new guy and were about to do a tour....what a mess!

MikeResist - 7-22-2009 at 02:54 PM

Michale Graves is available.

panzerkreuzer - 7-22-2009 at 03:01 PM

i vote for meat loaf. there are already family connections!

clevohardcore - 7-22-2009 at 03:03 PM

Man I hate to point this out, but I think about now its a reflection of the band itself and its members that keep running off people. Just bring back Belladonna or forget it. Forget this kareokie band bullshit.

Jason the Magnificent - 7-22-2009 at 03:17 PM

All signs point to strokes.

Mark Lind - 7-22-2009 at 03:40 PM

Bring back Bush. He was better than Belladonna.

bush is doing 1 show with them later this year...

I vote for Billy Milano

MikeFromInhuman - 7-22-2009 at 04:09 PM

You "Bush is better" people are an odd bunch indeed....perhaps you are also the "Hagar is better" people????

:)

* I like one Bush era song...."Safe Home".

clevohardcore - 7-22-2009 at 04:12 PM

Belladonna. So much better of a singer.

Mark Lind - 7-22-2009 at 04:12 PM

I also prefer Hagar. haha.

But Bush has a better metal voice. It has balls.

gavin - 7-22-2009 at 04:17 PM

meatloaf sings better than all these fools

defstarsteve - 7-22-2009 at 04:22 PM

ya know hagar has a new band
with joe satriani on guitar and mike anthony on bass
and chad smith from the chili peppers on drums...
I hear one song and it was so fucking horrible...
belladonna>bush

Jason the Magnificent - 7-22-2009 at 04:23 PM

Bush sucked. Worst thing that ever happened to Anthrax...and they've done a lot of dumb shit so that's saying a lot.

I hate Hagar!!!!

While I like the Belladonna stuff quite a bit, I think Bush has a better voice.

thats CHICKENFOOT, I was curious about hearing them.

DaveMoral - 7-22-2009 at 10:37 PM

Any band with the name Chickenfoot is automatically not worth a listen, doesn't matter what legends are in it.

Belladonna is superior to Bush, particularly for the songs from that era. Which, IMO, is the only Anthrax worth listening to anyways.

Anthrax should really just call it quits.

Really?

clevohardcore - 7-22-2009 at 11:47 PM

Scott Ian is with Meatloafs daughter. Married or just dating or had dated.

JawnDiablo - 7-23-2009 at 06:56 AM

I say call it a day....

Jason the Magnificent - 7-23-2009 at 07:57 AM

I don't remember if I told this story here...so in a nutshell...

A friends band has a practice spot in Chicago near Chinatown, basically an old commercial building someone rented band rooms out in. For a period of time last year or the year before Anthrax actually practiced there in the basement of this building (I have no idea why they were in Chicago). They apparently had some type of guards at the steps going down there to make sure no one could get close enough to hear any of their music.

Nothing groundbreaking, just amusing that a band who hasn't written a good album in almost 20 years is worried about a riff getting ganked. It definitely wasn't a crowd issue, maybe 3 bands practiced there and it was easier to get into Fort Knox than this building so it's not like some troops of Anthrax fans were going to crowd their spot. I guess whenever the guys would emerge into the rest of the building they weretotal douchenozzles to the other bands.

Discipline - 7-23-2009 at 12:33 PM

They really do need to call it a day.

clevohardcore - 7-23-2009 at 01:00 PM

I went up to meet Scott Ian at the SOD tour in 99 and he was neither rude nor an ass. You could tell he wasn't into being there though. Its like they are no longer metal and more like just there because that is there lot in life. Like they go with the motions or something. Hate to say it because ANTHRAX is one of my favorite bands up till 1991. Then they sucked.

Mark Lind - 7-23-2009 at 08:00 PM

I read an interview with scott ian today. they are trying to get bush back

I love it that you used the term "ganked". Great call.

JawnDiablo - 7-23-2009 at 11:12 PM

"ganked" has been a permenant part of my vocabulary since 1993
then again ai am from near Philly so....whatever..

MikeFromInhuman - 7-27-2009 at 10:56 AM

Over the weekend I heard that the new singer Dan and bassist Frank Bello got into a huge fight/arguement that led to the current situation. I also heard that Frank is a big pain in the ass and pulls a lot of strings in the band on the DL.

Again, this could be BS, but it sounds possible.

Mark Lind - 7-27-2009 at 11:32 AM

I watched a few videos with the new guy and it really didn't do anything for me. He kind of sounded like a second rate Phil Anselmo. It would be cool if they got Bush back. He had character of his own.
