wow, sure enough. you registered 5/13/03. ain't that some shit?
as you all may recall, when we launched these boards, we were never really concerned with the number of registered users or post counts. it was all
about (relatively) civil and engaging conversation. however, i did keep an eye on the 'percentage of users who have posted' stat. cause to me, that
says a lot about how compelling the boards are.
before we were hacked, that number was at like 60%, which i thought was outstanding (especially how many people registered to be a part of our initial
contest, then never posted). after the hack, we still had all of the user accounts, but everyone's post count was reset to 0. so if you didn't come
back and post after our down time, your activity was no longer registered. and thanks to that, 'users who have posted' stat is down to 25%. (and
then there are the spam registrations that keep pouring in...)
maybe i'll delete users who registered over a year ago, but never posted. or registered over a year ago, never posted, and haven't been back
in over a year. would that be rude? i can justify it as database management!KyleOz - 5-17-2005 at 11:46 AM
I had like 500 - 600 posts I think before the crash.
I am wondering what happened to people like Miss Bitch and etc.
Those contest winners are whack too.
As soon as they won, they stopped coming around.GabeTexasGAMC - 5-17-2005 at 11:55 AM

I dont think you should delete people though, theres a lot of lurkers that dont post but read everything.CR83 - 5-17-2005 at 12:19 PM

This board rules. I had something like 900+ posts before those internet dorks took a shit on the board. Post count = self worth!!!
I vote for deleting users who havent posted in over a year or so. If they want to come back bad enough just let them reregister. It's not that
tough.clevohardcore - 5-18-2005 at 11:45 PM
I agree clear house. If they want they can come back. Miss Bitch was kind of funny.
