Cool. What's the lineup look like? Any major surprises brewery wise?

I had a trade in the works with some B9 dude but he flaked and now for some reason my PW doesnt work there anymore and I don't feel like starting a new one.

Well...back.

It was fun, but I don't know that I would go again, not for a couple years anyway.

I went down the list of all the epic west coast IPA's that always get heralded on the beer nerd sites...none of them were anything better than what I can get from local distribution...granted these were not the best beer enjoying type of environments...but it doesn't cost me a $800 trip to go to 3 Floyds in Indiana either so I can cope, lol.

The main problem was is the massive amount of people...I get that they can only do 1oz samplers...and I'm fine with that...but you have a sample of beer and then fight a crowd for 10 minutes to get to the next line to wait for another 1oz sample.

and my biggest pet peeve...when someone drops their plastic sampler glass it clinks on the floor...the tradition is everyone in the immediate area goes "whoooooooaaaaa!!!!", people laugh, yuck it up and move on. The problem with this....every drunken frat boy pack is standing there waiting for the friends to drop their guard just so they can smack their friends glass out of their hand so they can make a noise. It was borderline retarded and I was wanting to choke someone due to my lack of buzz.

Denver on the whole though was a pretty cool city, nice and laid back.

And through borderline harassment I got Mike Pinto at Thick as Thieves to do some last minute coverup work on my wrist to commemorate the trip. Hops and Barley my friends...the lifesblood.

which covered this:

Its a bit crusty right now...I'll post once it's healed.
