I'll say $10K/year, so $170,000. Not that I believe that number, but I won't be surprised if it's in the ballpark. That said, my parents had three kids, and they certainly weren't making $30K/year to spend on us... hell, they weren't making $30K/year for most of it.

How about another relevant number given the ones used in that article. What do you think median household income is in the US? (If you don't know or don't remember, median means 1/2 of the households make less and 1/2 the households make more.)

sounds about right.

if you're not prepared to work extra jobs, work overtime and weekend, do extra study or kiss ass to get up the ladder ...... dont have kids.
