I'm hoping to see 'em this time around. The closest I've gotten to seeing the Pogues was seeing Shane with The Popes in Austin in 2000 or so. That show was amazing and I think it would be ten times beyond that to see the whole band. I do remember being shocked at the kind of douchebaggery that went on at that show though, there were some frat types who wanted to fight me for refusing to help their buddy get on stage when he told me he wanted to knock Shane down. Seriously, what the fuck?
