every Danny Diablo record I've heard is awful and they seem to get worse. I keep checkingt them out, but I've never really liked one.

Is the song with Rob on it from awhile back or was it recoreded recently?? I'm curious about that track.

In a sense some people think that because theres a documentary called 'Afro Punk' and back when Bad Brains started they didnt include a press photo so people didnt know they were black.

I know white kids who grew up ghetto as fuck and there is no way to tell they are not black
it's not about race it's about class...

if those white kids grew up in a black neighborhood then yeah they would most likely be into hip hop
if they grew up in southie they would be into hardcore...
blending into your neighborhood is a survival tactic

but I listen to all of it and I'm just a fucked up skater kid who doesn't dress any style other than comfortable to skate in...

remember a few years back when all the rappers started wearing Doc's
that was odd, but it was just the blending of scenes and fashions...

I don't care if someone dresses in a 3 piece suit and sings about killing motha fuckas if the music is good and from the heart then it's all good...

By definition, yes. That's taking what I said literally while missing the point. I think in the end it's really just arguing semantics. The Bad Brains are one of my favorite bands of all time, yet I don't think anyone would accuse them of acting white. Musical styles are one thing, adapting all aspects of your life to pretend you're something you're not is quite another. That part that I find annoying is taking all the worst aspects of black culture (thug gangsta nonsense, bullshit money and bitches "hiphop") as your basis for identity. But thats those type of people is not what this is about. And its not just Danny Diablo. Non Phixion, LCN, the Jedi Mind Tricks clique alot of those people are white people that are legitimately ghetto and fully look the part. They are adopting a culture that they are completely immersed in to begin with, its not some outsider trying to mimic what they saw on TV

Ya I met the dude a few times as well and he was cool as fuck. The guy you see in the vids and the guy he really seems to be look a lot different. He was such a nice guy to chill with. Never really thought he was a great rapper, but he does have his moments and I have no problem supporting people that are cool and have not let things go to their head, so he will always have my support.
