Burning Streets Tour Help

yeahjewlzyeah - 9-25-2009 at 10:41 AM

Got this idea from someone who posted on our page earlier...

I know were new to this SGR thing but if anyone out there knows some good spots to play in the USA let us know.

Were gonna be touring the east coast/mid west in January...and full US again this summer so really anywhere would help us out.

Thanks guys,
Burning Streets

Any support or connections youz can share with the guys in Burning Streets would be greatly appreciated. They spend a lot of time on the road, so I'm hoping many of you will get the chance to see them soon (if you can drag your old asses out of the hours, that is!)

Here's a tentative route. I believe only one date is booked at this point (correct me if I'm wrong Jewlz), so it's reasonably flexible.

Jan 2 2010 (Brooklyn), New York
Jan 3 2010 Amittyville, New York
Jan 4 2010 Pennsylvania
Jan 5 2010 Akron, Ohio
Jan 6 2010 (Bloomington), Indiana
Jan 7 2010 (Chicago), Illinois
Jan 8 2010 Grand Rapids, Michigan
Jan 9 2010 SILVER DOLLAR CATINA (w/ BUCKET HOUSE HOOLIGANS & CIVIL SOLDIER) Dubuque, Iowa
Jan 10 2010 (St. Louis), Missouri
Jan 11 2010 (Nashville), Tennessee
Jan 12 2010 (Pensacola), Florida
Jan 13 2010 (Gainesville), Florida
Jan 14 2010 (Columbia), South Carolina
Jan 15 2010 (Asheville), North Carolina
Jan 16 2010 (Wilmington), North Carolina
Jan 17 2010 (Richmond), Virginia
Jan 18 2010 (Baltimore), Maryland
Jan 19 2010 (Philadelphia), Pennsylvania
Jan 20 2010 New Jersey

When I first started touring with Ducky Boys we got the names and contact information for every band on our label, GMM Records. Then we routed from there. We played with Patriot, Main Street Saints in Kansas City, Last Years Youth in St. Louis, Lower Class Brats in Austin, Murder City Wrecks in Detroit. Then we jumped on shows with bands like The Wretched Ones in NJ, The Boils in Philly. Just find out who all the hot hometown bands are in the street punk scene and go play with them. All you need to do is give them a reach-around when they come to Boston.

welcome to the board broseph.

I can give you some contacts, but they are usually holes, dives, basements and crazy people. You know how to reach me :P

Damn, I still owe LCB a reach around. Ugh. That's gonna be fun.

Main Street Saints, holy crap.
i still have 7" of theirs around here somewhere.
bought it cause i remembered seeing paul wearing one of their shirts at a show.
obviously, pre-myspace days when if you wanted to check out a band you had to actually buy a record!

Paul was working the door that night in Kansas City. He went and got a bag of kitty litter and threw it at us on stage because DB's and Sheer Terror (along with the Bruisers) had played a show in Boston when the Rat was covered with kitty litter due to a broken pipe.

GMM was a great fucking label. So many amazing bands and releases.

What Mark said is the best advise!! Do a little homework on the cities you want to play and see who the hot bands are. Send them a message and a lot of them will help you out!! Good luck on the tour.

yeah actually Patriot is gonna help us out down in North Carolina. Basically most of the shows are already being worked on...the ones we need some help with are the Tennessee area, Richmond. Mostly we have some solid contacts for most of these spots, we're just always looking for new shit and new cities to play

yeahjewlzyeah - 9-25-2009 at 04:27 PM

were definitley gonna help out on some reach arounds too. probably gonna have the F-Bombers from Jersey up here soon, were gonna do a week with them in November

3rdDistrict can help you with Baltimore and probably delaware.

for Richmond... hmm... maybe see if Battalion 86 is still a band?

not quite tennessee, but brassknuckle boys are from kentucky and just put out a new album, so they can probably help with a show. official myspace is http://www.myspace.com/brassknuckleboys, but my guess is that you'll get a faster response if you try shadwick's page: http://www.myspace.com/shadwick. 3rdDistrict might be able to get some better contact info for you, since some of the baltimore people know shadwick.

for the pensacola/gainesville area, consider hitting tallahassee (right between the two cities). get in touch with the guys at myspace.com/luckyscars, and they should be able to set up a show for you and book the opening bands (including them).

not really sure what you could hit between st louis and florida in a day. how long are you willing to drive? that looks like it will be a lot of driving in two days no matter what, but the st louis - kentucky - florida thing could work, but damn that's some long drives.
