panzerkreuzer - 10-15-2009 at 05:48 AM

did anyone deal with them?
i´m waiting far an order for three months now and they don´t even answer emails.
has anyone experiences with them?

BDx13 - 10-15-2009 at 09:02 AM

i've never ordered anything from them directly.

unfortunately, i'm in a similar situation with 6131 records.
made a $12 order in april, but still haven't seen it.

i ordered a rotting out 7" and shirt from 6131 and had no problem. stuff came within a few weeks.

ShawnRefuse - 10-15-2009 at 09:48 AM

I am bad with this. either shit goes out the day of the oder or like last time 2 months. (sorry vanillia) I am no where near a post office in my daily ventures. but I am also not a company.

Jason the Magnificent - 10-15-2009 at 10:29 AM

I ordered a shirt and CD from whomever did that OLC re-release and never saw either...dude won't answer emails. I gave up, not worth the $20.

barc0debaby - 10-15-2009 at 10:39 AM

Same thing happened to me with the Whiskey Rebels.

i ordered the same.
on the b9 board he´s still posting.

XHonusWagnerX - 10-15-2009 at 10:42 AM

I dont think I've just never gotten a package. I've gotten damaged stuff and had people refuse to answer.

yeah...he sent out that email saying all order were going out and if anyone had any problems to email him. I emailed 2x, as far as I know none of that stuff even exists.

Jason the Magnificent - 10-15-2009 at 11:31 AM

The problem with these situations is if you hound these guys about your stuff you're an asshole...if you take a more casual approach and email them once a month or two they forget and then want to know why you waited so long.

I had major drama with a trade with a very big and well known HC label once where I didn't want to be a dick but I also have other things going on in my life so when you email every 2 months to be the nice guy instead of the pester guy sometimes you forget and it goes to 4 months. They then accused me of ripping trying to rip them off because they "sent me my stuff" like 6 months before and wanted to know why I waited so long to bring it up....basically saying I was trying to get more CD's from them for free. I immediately sent ALL of there remaining stuff back to them as well as cash to compensate for what I sold. In the meantime dude is going around telling people I'm the shadey one....even though he refused my package I sent him.

Sometimes it's just not worth it. People in HC are generally retards.

Discipline - 10-15-2009 at 12:23 PM

The only order I had a problem with was an order from Ramallah for a cd and shirt. Never got the stuff, emailed a few times, some dude (not Rob) emailed me back a couple of months later to ask if I had gotten it yet, told him I hadn't he said he'd look into it. Never heard from them again.

I like to think the money went towards Rob's rehab, that way I don't feel like a dick. It was a really cool shirt though.

panzerkreuzer - 10-15-2009 at 12:33 PM

i ordered from don before and it worked well, that´s why i´m upset. and that he doesn´t answer.

necrobutcher - 10-15-2009 at 06:56 PM

buddy of mine ordered the OLC shirt from them. It took about 2 months to get to him.

Jason the Magnificent - 10-15-2009 at 07:25 PM

yeah and that was probably 2 months ago...some of us are 4 months out.

About right, ordered before their Phila. show, showed up in mid August.

BDx13 - 11-23-2009 at 06:58 PM

just a quick update...
got my order from 6131.
it shipped out initially about a month after my order was placed.
unfortunately, that one never arrived.
took me a while to figure out - then i was gone all summer.
got in touch last month and they sent out the cds again.
all is good.
and i appreciate their help.

Jason the Magnificent - 11-23-2009 at 08:45 PM

morgan - 11-23-2009 at 09:41 PM

[nevermind was thinking of the wrong record label]

mike_ - 11-24-2009 at 03:07 AM

I pre-ordered OLC stuff for over 160$ and didn't get anything. I've sent 4-5 very polite e-mails so far using 3 e-mail adresses and got no reply. I can't really get in touch with them 'coz I'm based in Europe. Any ideas on what one can do to sort it out?

Jason the Magnificent - 11-24-2009 at 06:42 AM

I've been very politely emailing the Double or Nothing guy for like 3+ months to the email address that he used when he mass emailed everyone saying the OLC was shipping and we should email him with any questions or problems. Hell I even figured maybe that email was bad and tried myspace messaging him. I have never gotten one single response through any channel.

I understand sometimes orders get lost...if he would have told me that I would have dropped it. It's $20 I've lost worse. The same used to happen to me all the time...I didn't know if I was being scammed or it was legit lost...but I'd never not email the person back. Hell I'd usually send them a second package which always resulted in thanks and future orders.

With Mike_'s case...it's highly likely something could have happened on the way to Europe...but show some class and email the guy back and say "hey I'm sorry but I can't afford to send a second package to Europe." The fact that this kid can't even reply to people is fucked up. It's not just a few of us here...I know another board where there's a similar thread. So it's not an isolated incident.

It's really unfortunate because he puts out a lot of great hardcore...I would have loved to have bought the Steel Nation and Clenched Fist stuff through him but due to his lack of respect for his customers I'll just download his stuff.

I have no problem with being an asshole about my hard earned money. Shit does happens, but not that much.

Professionalism is a dying art.

Jayson, thanks for sharing your story as it's EXACTLY the same thing that happened to me. I too sent them myspace message recently. After reading all the stories here I'm quite sure my order wasn't shipped in the first place.

I'm still waiting and 100% civil and polite in my e-mails. I don't want to be 160$ short, you know. I made a collective order with my friends but it was my money that was sent to DON Records.

I just want to get the OLC stuff, no hard feelings and shit. I just hope he sends the damn stuff someday.

XHonusWagnerX - 11-24-2009 at 01:17 PM

I would love one of those OLC shirts, but who the hell is buying an OLC shirt in youth large!?

Jason the Magnificent - 11-24-2009 at 01:32 PM

thats probably why it's still there LOL.

mike_ - 11-26-2009 at 01:21 PM

If anyone here gets some kind of update or inside information on DON Records and unsent OLC orders, please post it here.

panzerkreuzer - 12-5-2009 at 11:34 AM

Wow, that's cool, so there's still some hope for me! I don't care when, I just want to get the merch someday.

Did you order baseball jerseys too?

panzerkreuzer - 12-7-2009 at 10:50 AM

no, only the shirt, the cd and the coa/ product of waste split 7".
cool band, by the way.

Jason the Magnificent - 12-14-2009 at 08:05 AM

These guys are total bullshitters. From the DoN bitch thread on B9. (I love how "90% of people never emailed them", yet every one of the threads on three sep mboards are full of people bitching that these guys wont respond to emails)

Fiction to facts: 90% of you have never emailed us. We send out order updates every two weeks to the paypal email addys provided along with the details to any type of hold ups and order shipping. No myspace msgs I haven't already returned or looked into, plus there is the option to PM your order info which 2 people did and one of them is still bitching. A good portion of the time orders have not gone thru but people assume they have which in turn leads to people shouting over the interweb because they can't order correctly. Do we end up sending out the same order 2 or 3 times before the hxc kid magically gets his gear, yes. Yes, it is our fault when orders take longer than "normal". Sometimes pressing gets fucked up, merch printed wrong, etc. Do we try to avoid it? Of course. Do we add extra shit in peoples orders to attempt to make up for it? Of course. Am I working on not shitting the bed, always. I'm not going over the same topics that have been covered in other emails/msg brd posts before. You have several forms of contact to resolve your issues and the b9 board is not one of them. I am will to return/replace any orders thru the right means of contact. You should be buying from the bands anyway, not us. Doubleornothingrecords@gmail.com Nickornothing@gmail.com

mike_ - 12-30-2009 at 06:09 AM

Since I voiced my concerns about the label in this thread I am morally obliged to let everyone know that I finally got my entire order this morning.

panzerkreuzer - 12-30-2009 at 06:57 AM

congrats :spin:

Jason the Magnificent - 12-30-2009 at 09:24 AM

Someone I know whose band these guys were sweating asked them about my order. Within 24 hours they told him to get them my info and they'd take care of it. They still have never replied to me without the aid of a 3rd party...so it's clear they just ignore your polite requests and only respond when it's in their best interest. Most amusement I've ever got out of $20.
