Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

Can you pick just one album....

Discipline - 10-16-2009 at 03:05 PM

as being your favorite of all time? Not one per genre, no runners-up, no ties, just one single, e.p., or album you would call you absolute favorite ever.

For me, it's Ugly & Proud by Sheer Terror.

I can name a hundred albums I love from start to finish, but if I have to pick only one, it's Ugly & Proud. It also made me realize that although Motorhead was my favorite band since I was around 13-14, they've slowly been eclipsed by Sheer Terror over the years. ST's albums don't get old for me, I find I like them more than ever before.

never mind the bollocks

JawnDiablo - 10-16-2009 at 03:41 PM

this is a tough one and I'm gonna have to think on it.....

SS76 - 10-16-2009 at 03:41 PM

Outlaw Anthems

XHonusWagnerX - 10-16-2009 at 03:45 PM

I think it would be REIGN IN BLOOD

Mark Lind - 10-16-2009 at 03:55 PM

Appetite for Destruction but it's very hard for me not to mention the runners up.

Poison Idea: Feel The Darkness

CR83 - 10-16-2009 at 04:59 PM

Shit, I need time. This is a toughy

Vanilla Gorilla - 10-16-2009 at 05:07 PM

Fuck i don't know if i can pick one, without mentioning others. I will need to think on this.

moforn - 10-16-2009 at 05:26 PM

I don't think I could name just one but "Shock Troops" stands out as an album than seems to keep getting better every time I hear it.

Spoiler - 10-16-2009 at 05:52 PM

By far, without even thinking,Like Discipline, SHEER TERROR - UGLY & PROUD. This album is everything I love about music. Just read the lyrics to songs like "Done all Wrong" or "Blowout on Indiana Avenue" ..... untouchable. I don't think another album could ever top this as my favorite. I love it as much today as I did the day I first heard it. I know it might not be the best album, but it is my favorite.

tireironsaint - 10-16-2009 at 05:53 PM

Can't even try. I could name my favorite of the day, but even that would be tough and ten others would pop up as soon as I decided on one.

necrobutcher - 10-16-2009 at 06:06 PM

I can't do this one justice.

Discipline - 10-16-2009 at 06:56 PM

That's why I said one only. I was curious to see if people could name only one album. I'm not surprised that people have trouble picking just one.

Six66Mike - 10-16-2009 at 08:43 PM

Think I'll have to go with Appetite for Destruction as well.

REV.PAULIE - 10-16-2009 at 10:55 PM

Photobucket

The Pioneers "Battle of the Giants"...one of the first reggae/bluebeat records I bought when I was a kid.

MattyA - 10-16-2009 at 11:07 PM

Appetite for Destruction, was 5 when it came out and loved it ever since.

CR83 - 10-16-2009 at 11:46 PM

Walk Among Us.

I have gone back and forth on several albums and have settled. I still listen to it 20+ years later and it opened my mind to sooooo many other bands. Misfits were a gateway for me.

clevohardcore - 10-17-2009 at 11:34 AM

THE ACCUSED- marthas maddest stories ever told,

ROLLINS BAND- DO IT,

be up there but I'd still have to go with SOIA.

DaveMoral - 10-18-2009 at 02:13 PM

Captive Nation Rising - Rebirth

CNR was Sean Muttaqi's(of Vegan Reich) punk/reggae band after the initial break up of VR. That was the only ep they ever did, and it still reflects pretty much all my thoughts on the world, spirituality and self-discipline to this day.

Dealing With It. No others come close.
