Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

How come people dont' know how to watch a fucking movie

Saw paranormal activity tonight and it was pretty good for a Blair Witch knockoff.

Except the theater was packed and at least 10 different people were doing their unfunny commentary or fucking around with cell phones. I was a second away from slapping the guy in front of me who kept turning around to talk to the person sitting next to me. Hey sometimes the threat of violence is better than the same thing, he shut up and i didn't get arrested.

pretty much what happened to me except it was nothing but high school kids.

and this is why I almost can't be bothered to see movies in the theater anymore. My ADD is way too bad to deal with people talking and playing with their phones.. I end up missing half the damn thing anyway.

last time i went to a theater, i had to ask a woman in her 50s to stop texting.
i told her, "you're an adult, you should know better."
and her husband goes, "he's right"
AAHAHAHAHA!

That's amazing. I love it.

I went to a movie at the film festival here a few years back. There was a couple of art students sitting behind me. Chatting as soon as they sat down, no biggie. Then through the previews, mild annoyance. Then through the beginning, gettting annoyed. Kept talking, discussing the finer points of subtextual context. I lasted about 15 min into the movie and that was enough. I turned around and said "Excuse me, are you guys planning on talking the whole movie, or are you gonna shut the fuck up at some point?" They huffed and puffed and whispered to each other for 2 min and then left.

these are reasons i hate going to the movies.
if i go, i usually go to an early showing on a sunday or something.
i hate when people bring all of their brats to a movie that is clearly not for kids and they kick the backs of your seats and stuff.

i also hate it when there is a very crowded theatre and the urban youth decide they all must sit one seat apart from each other taking the whole place over.

these are reasons why i just download things i really want to see anymore

Shit drives me to rage mode, I almost always just go to the earliest showings or wait until a movie's been out for weeks before I even attempt to go see anything anymore.

I'm with Saint, on the rare occasion I go to see a movie at the theatre I go when it's going to be empty.

I gave up a long time ago. The last thing that truly scared the shit outta me was the Fiji mermaid episode of X Files, but I was 10 at the time. I couldn't not sleep that not, thought the little fucker was gonna sneak up and eat my innards.

Its all about the torture porn these days.

I agree Paranormal Activity was a let down but it was pretty good based on the fact it only cost 15k to make.
