Confusion can be fun

I was out running a few errands and got asked to answer a few questions for a radio station poll outside a store. They asked if I listen to their station and I told them I never listen to the radio due to a lack of good music. They then asked if I was listening to cd's or and mp3 player in the car, to which I replied cd's. Then came the fun question. They asked what I was currently listening to as they wanted to know my listening habits, which I told them was Norman Bates & the Showerheads. They gave me the most confused look I've seen in some time and then asked if that was the name of a band. Then they asked what other cd's I had in the car, which was Sheer Terror, The Dayglo Abortions, Skinny Puppy, and 20 Bulls Each. They said there was no reason to ask me any further questions and walked away looking very confused.

Made me chuckle.

I love when people say "I'm hip" and force you to prove them wrong. When they think Green Day is underground music.

I'm also a HUGE fan of that!

One day a guy at work came over and was talking about music and I said "I like a lot of stuff that you wouldnt consider music" and he said "No... thats not true. I really like Drowning Pool" so I put on some Dropdead and he tried to play it off like he was into it. LOL!

The same guy has tried to tell me he used see Wrecking Crew all the time (he brought it up after I wore a Wrecking Crew shirt) and he said he knows all the FSU guys (after FSU was in Rollingstone) what a douche!

Good stuff, It's fun bringing people out of their comfort zone. It's quite a surprise for some that there are people who aren't into the same music, movies, books, beer, etc. as them.

i had a guy i work with ask me if i had any music i could share since he wanted some new stuff to hear. i had to selective go through the library and pick the non-offensive stuff. only really crazy thing he saw and insisted on was disturbed mother fucker, just cause of the name. otherwise, he got some beatles, flogging molly, DKM, rolling stones, and similar kinda stuff.
