yeah, man.
i hope you have a kick-ass day.
...and that this back injury isn't a sign of old age!

Mark Lind - 12-17-2009 at 09:56 AM

Thanks, duders.

I hurt my back so fuckin' bad on Tuesday night. I started a new training regimen with the same trainer but a new group of people in the class (the real men now). They used this thing called a kettle bell that you may be familiar with. Well since I'm the new guy in the class I was unaware that they were not actually using their arms to lift this thing and instead they were swinging it like a pendelum and working their hips. So my improper use of it put all the strain on my back and my lats are killing me from shoulder to ass. This wasn't really the type of tightening up I had in mind.

Thanks, guys!

Hey Shawn. We heard you guys playing the other night at the practice space. I know that people often liken you guys to Slapshot. We walked by your room and my brother Rob said "they sound great. That singer sounds kinda like the guy from Youth Defense League". I'm not sure if that's a compliment or not but he meant it as one. I thought you might like to hear that someone likened you guys to someone else. Of course, we all know that you guys are really most influenced by Sepultura.

Happy birthday man.

Good luck with the kettlebells, if you keep on working with them. The learning curve for them is harsh but the rewards are well worth it.

Thanks Mark, that's pretty cool. You guys can feel free to stop in any time you are there. Funny though, that was one of our worst practices in a long time, we were sloppy as hell because it was just new stuff that we haven't played out yet hahahahah.

I turn 30 in February... I was thinking of having the party at Chuckee Cheeze as a big poke at the old 3-0.

ShawnRefuse - 12-18-2009 at 12:30 PM

I'm 32 for my 30th I had a big party at Great Scott in Allston. Only friends played, it was a great time.
