Holy shit that's ridiculous.

I wonder what made him wake up one day and say, "I'm going to make my own brand of hot sauce."

BDx13 - 12-29-2009 at 03:51 PM

answer = $

XHonusWagnerX - 12-29-2009 at 04:25 PM

it says he eats a high protine, low fat diet and uses hot sauce to spice things up.

Misfits fans will buy anything even remotely connected to the band, regardless of how ridiculous it is.

i dug misfits onesies when my son was a wee lad......

Very true. The only band with more merch has got to be Kiss.

In order to create Doyle's hot sauce product, his team searched for a hot sauce manufacturer. Their search landed on me, Victor "The Undertaker" Ives.

Because everyone wakes up one day and thinks, "Gee, I fucking love hot sauce, so I must find someone who will create a new hot sauce recipe and slap my name on it."

So, when is gavin gonna convince Abdullah the Butcher to make the Bad Vibes hot sauce? It writes it's own script :

Server: Sir, can we bring you any additional condiments?
Customer: I hate your everything!
Server: Um, excuse me?
Customer: I hate your everything!

Server walks away.

Customer, upon seeing server: I'm sorry, but you never brought my hot sauce.
Server: What hot sauce?
Customer: I hate your everything.
Server: Dick.

Doyle's MADE IN HELL Hot Sauce

Actually...Doyle hasn't asked me for one penny from this yet so $$$$ might not be as big a reason as you think. Everything we take in goes right back into the product.

And yes, The Misfits have a TON of merch out there...but again, you might be surprised how little money the actual members of the band get from it. (next to nothing)

As you may or may not know, Glenn Danzig makes a pretty decent salsa! (tomato-based, jalapeno peppers, etc.) And as you ALL probably know, Doyle eats a lot of high-protein, low fat foods...like an egg substitute containing mostly egg whites. Not very flavorful on its own, but add some salsa...or some hot sauce...and you've got a pretty tasty meal! On a radio interview once, Doyle mentioned that he'd like to sell Glenn's salsa...cause Glenn apparently wasn't interested in doing that. (I've never met Glenn so I don't know for sure) But salsa is a hard product to get rolling because it's made from all fresh ingredients and spoilage is an issue. But Doyle had already announced that he was going to release a hot sauce style product...so one of his "people" started looking for a hot sauce distributor. That's where I come in! I'm Victor "The Undertaker" Ives! I create and sell my own brands of zombie-themed hot sauce products sealed in handmade cedar coffins. As soon as Doyle saw my site ( http://www.HauntedHotSauce.com) he knew he'd found his guy...not some "suit" in an office building but a lifetime lover of monsters, horror-punk and the horror genre! So I sent Doyle every product I make...and he tried them all...and we changed one...and added some stuff...and made it Doyle's own product based on his direction...so Doyle's MADE IN HELL was alive...Alive...ALIVE!!!!!

When Gorgeous Frankenstein toured, I had the good fortune to spend the day with Doyle, Gorgeous George, their amazing daughter, CHUD and Goolsby! ( Doyle and I did a photo shoot that day and I actually got to put on my Undertaker makeup right next to Doyle as he was putting on his makeup! A lifelong Misfits fan's dream come true! Check out the photos on http://myspace.com/HauntedHotSauce or a couple on http://www.DoylesMadeInHell.com) I brought to them the first sample bottles of Doyle's MADE IN HELL and the band (and some lucky fans) got to taste the different varieties during the rest of the tour. Doyle has been hands on the entire time...and really (REALLY) uses his product every day! (I send him about six unlabeled 12 ounce bottles per month...and he always runs out before the next shipment arrives)

Every penny we take in from this goes back into the product. As long as Doyle has an abundant supply of his sauce to use...he's happy.
And if there's anybody who's NOT a merch whore it's Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein!

Doyle only personally endorses products that he truly believes in...like his Annihilator guitar ( http://www.octoberguitars.com/vonfrank.htm), his band ( http://www.GorgeousFrankenstein.com) and his HOT SAUCE! ( http://www.DoylesMadeInHell.com)

I'm proud to know him!

this is awesome because it shows the power of the Thorp board. I didnt post the link as a way to 'talk shit' or 'make fun of it' I'm a HUGE fan of Doyle (even though I dont really care for Gorgeous Frankenstein) so I thought it was kinda cool.

However I think its AWESOME that The Undertaker came here because the traffic went from here to his site. Thorp Warriors!!!

Thanks! The Misfits have had a rocky past and have created a lot of strong opinions and loyalties in all directions! When Doyle approached me to do his hot sauce I was 1.) flattered and 2.) perplexed! I'll admit that when I first heard about his interest I thought to myself "what does Doyle know about hot sauce?" Upon speaking to him over the next few months I found out "PLENTY!" He knows what he likes, I'm just proud that what he likes happens to be what I make! And like I said...so far...he hasn't asked for one dime from this endeavor so making money from this really isn't at the top of his list. My wish is to be able to send him millions one day! His real incentive was just to keep a promise that he had made.

And yup XHonusWagnerX, I get Google alerts when somebody's talking about Doyle's Hot Sauce and I saw in my stats where it came from. I love talking to my customers (or future customers) or anyone interested in what I do so I'm happy to be the newest Thorp member!

If you or any of the Thorp members have ANY questions at all about Doyle's MADE IN HELL Hot Sauce or my Haunted Hot Sauce products...or anything else that I might be able to answer...I'd be happy to! Keep in kind that I'm not a spokesperson for Doyle or Gorgeous Frankenstein in any capacity.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

This is really cool and thanks for coming over to the board. We are a grumpy ol bunch from time to time but I was really impressed how you approached all of this.
