mike_ - 1-21-2010 at 04:44 PM

When you click on ADD TO CART on Socialized CD & T-Shirt Bundle it doesn't follow through.

ChadBeantown - 1-21-2010 at 04:47 PM

I will have to get this at the show in February!!!

BDx13 - 1-21-2010 at 05:25 PM

Merch now is working on it

BDx13 - 1-21-2010 at 07:19 PM

MerchNow had this fixed around 5.
Everything should be good to go.

DAK - 1-21-2010 at 09:06 PM

Sweet. I'll order when I get home.

mike_ - 1-22-2010 at 07:28 AM

Just ordered RR bundle along with Bulldog Courage CD/hoodie bundle. Will it be shipped by Thorp crew or MerchNow?

I understand that RR stuff will be sent now and not in February, right?

BDx13 - 1-22-2010 at 08:04 AM

Thanks, Mike!
MerchNow runs our online store, so they will be shipping it out.
And no, they are not waiting until the 2/9 street date to ship.

mike_ - 1-22-2010 at 08:10 AM

That's awesome. Thanks!

Thanks Mike, let us know what you think.

Roland, try a different browser. I know it sometimes has issues with Safari, maybe it's the same deal.

panzerkreuzer - 1-22-2010 at 09:01 AM

thanks shawn.
with firefox it didnīt work, but the inet explorer worked well.
ordered a thorp shirt, mttw bundle and the rr bundle.
canīt wait to hear the rr cd.
mttw will run now, the download code has already arrived.

mike_ - 1-22-2010 at 09:01 AM

Shawn, I gotta pick up your first CD. I checked RR's own webstore, but I think Interpunk is a cheaper option.

Yeah, and you won't have to worry about me not getting to the post office. :)

I am very slow with fulfillment.

BDx13 - 1-22-2010 at 10:19 AM

RR has export restrictions (no europe), sorry roland.
your continent will get its own version.
announcement on that coming sometime soon, i'm sure.

panzerkreuzer - 1-22-2010 at 10:23 AM

shit.
ok, i wait what merchnow will tell me.
mike_ has the same problem, heīs from poland...
hopefully i can get at least the shirt.

BDx13 - 1-22-2010 at 10:28 AM

shirt should be fine.
it's odd you don't get some kind of message, though, explaining why it's unavailable.
lemme call MN to double check - i'll hit ya back later.

mike_ - 1-22-2010 at 10:35 AM

Well, I was to buy RR bundle after all.

BC hoodie + CD was marked as bundle in the checkout whereas RR t-shirt (12$) and CD (6$) were marked as separate items.

BDx13 - 1-22-2010 at 11:02 AM

This shit is sharp.

Proudly brought to you by the fine people at NewRepublic Printing

mike_ - 1-22-2010 at 11:10 AM

Sweet.

ShawnRefuse - 1-24-2010 at 07:01 PM

I know the "Steve" news overpowered the release news. Anyone download it yet? Would love to hear comments.

DAK - 1-24-2010 at 11:32 PM

I will have to wait until next payday.

mike_ - 1-25-2010 at 05:37 AM

No yet, this was my dilemma though, whether to buy shirt+Cd or shirt+download. Went for the first one. So, still waiting.

Anyway, the "Middle America" song Thorp put up on their website? Sends chills down my spine.

DAK - 1-25-2010 at 07:03 PM

Found some extra moneys. Buying right now.

MikeResist - 1-25-2010 at 08:25 PM

Sweet hope people like this new cd, we're real happy with it

DAK - 1-26-2010 at 12:34 AM

So far so good. I'll give it a good listen tomorrow at work.

panzerkreuzer - 1-26-2010 at 07:43 AM

couldnīt wait for my package, bought the download too.
now itīs playtime :tumble:

BDx13 - 1-26-2010 at 12:20 PM

very anxious to hear everyone's comments on this record.
it's definitely a lot of fun.

panzerkreuzer - 1-26-2010 at 03:31 PM

itīs fun listen to it. it has no second "still in mass", but you donīt write a song like that every day.
my highlights after the fifth round are "shoulda been aborted", "middle america", "pick up the pieces", the other ones are really good too.

DAK - 1-26-2010 at 06:57 PM

"I like it a lot." F. Gump

ShawnRefuse - 1-27-2010 at 07:22 PM

Thanks guys.

I like Massachusetts, but I am really diggin playing out the new stuff more. Maybe it'll grow on you Roland.

BTW, hows the hoodie?

ShawnRefuse - 1-27-2010 at 07:24 PM

Oh yeah here is one of our new pics with Steve and Don.

mike_ - 2-1-2010 at 01:38 PM

Damn, great record. I only listened to it twice so far, but I already have my favorites (apart from the obvious ones: Middle America, IRS and Sunday Matinee): Socialized, Living in the past, Pick up the pieces and What is right. Congratulations guys.

Shawn, PM me about your first record thing we talked about if you're still into that.

ShawnRefuse - 2-1-2010 at 01:44 PM

Ask anyone, I am horrrrrrrrible with getting to a post office. Not that I am not interested ha, but time is something I have little of. :)

mike_ - 2-1-2010 at 01:49 PM

OK, take your time, just don't forget about it.

Again, congrats on the new record.

XHonusWagnerX - 2-3-2010 at 10:41 PM

thats a great picture... I think it would look even better cropped real low so it was long & skinny.

I just downloaded the lp and will listen in the morning.

: )

You got the hoodie right Roland?? I never heard back from you about the shipping money.

panzerkreuzer - 2-4-2010 at 08:28 AM

mike_ - 2-9-2010 at 09:29 AM

Two quick RR-related stories.

I work as a teacher of English at one of local junior high schools. So I went to work in my Refuse Resist t-shirt today. First class (the younger one) asked me if I believed in Satan and I was like "what?" and they told me I was wearing a Satanistic t-shirt and I explained to them it's nothing of that sort and that they got it wrong. It's probably because of the red paint face thing I guess hahaha...

The other class (the older one) asked me what the shirt meant ("socialized" and the head wired to the cables), so I explained the whole idea of the t-shirt. They agreed that there are potential dangers associated with myspace-like websites and we had a small chat about issues involving internet.

ShawnRefuse - 2-9-2010 at 09:49 AM

Nice, glad we can bring a message to children :)

I need to get me a shirt haha.

BDx13 - 2-9-2010 at 10:27 AM

that's kind of a wild story.
where are you, mike, poland?

Shawn, Mike... did you ever think that your album would be the catalyst for a conversation among school children in eastern europe about issues surrounding internet usage?

MikeResist - 2-9-2010 at 10:38 AM

Who would have figured that? Haha. That's great.

That's why we wrote it. Specifically.

mike_ - 2-9-2010 at 03:16 PM

It's funny because none of the shirts I've worn to work so far have sparked such comments and discussion. I mean I've worn some really twisted shit like Integrity merch or Blood For Blood's wasted youth stuff and there were very few reactions from the students if any at all.

Anyway, I had a private class after my junior high work and the kids spotted the shirt immediately and were like "what's that? ewww... that's gruesome" haha... Are you guys sure you're not sending any subliminal messages with that shirt? I hope you won't get me fired haha...

ShawnRefuse - 2-9-2010 at 03:40 PM

Nah pretty straight forward, it was to make people think about what the internet does to people. glad it's working.

mike_ - 2-17-2010 at 01:37 PM

Shawn, I've been meaning to ask you about it for some time. I read the lyrics for "What is right" and I was wondering if you were a religious person? I hope that's not too personal of a question.

ShawnRefuse - 2-17-2010 at 02:41 PM

Religious = NO from me. And, not it's not too personal to ask that. I am proud to be just here and not held to the ridicule of an organization. Not that I don't believe in a higher power, I just don't think ANY religion has all the facts.

I lost my grandmother to cancer last year. Then a month later my bulldog. So this was a song written to deal with the losses. She was a strong lady and could hold her ground. Broke up bar fights at my grandfathers bar. And my bulldog was my best friend for the short time I had him.

Everywhere I go, I know you've got my back.
You're always in my mind and in my heart
You lived too short a life for me comprehend
the good that's inside you will never ever end.

I'm here in my life because of you
You taught me how to follow through
When to stand down and when to fight
Always do what is right
What is right?

Days that you were with me were the best in my life
Knowing you're still watching gets me through the night
I never have a feeling of being left alone
even though you're gone now, I'm not on my own

I'm here in my life because of you
You taught me how to follow through
When to stand down and when to fight
Always do what is right
What is right?

http://www.emptyhandspvd.com/2010/03/refuse-resist-socialize...

"I loved the first release and this only improves on their sound. They are tighter and fiercer. They are more confident and more enraged. Just when I decide that they are more ‘hardcore’, a punkier sound pops up. This is a perfect blend of the two styles; a time-tested sound that solidify the tradition of the Boston scene for the past 30 years. Carry the torch left by The Trouble, A Poor Excuse, and Bluebloods for that contemporary Boston borderline oi!/hc."
