Jason the Magnificent - 1-27-2010 at 02:18 PM

Either Steel Nation or H8INC, those are far and away the best two HC albums of last year. Every 10th or so play of those I throw in a random CD then go back to those bad boys.

CR83 - 1-27-2010 at 02:32 PM

I have nothing new to report. Today I am painting the stairwell to my basement so it is Minor Threat/GCF/Stand and Fight.

I'm a little boring, but I'm cool with that.

Thanks for the links dudes, I'm going to check them out.

When it comes to hardcore I usually stick to the classics and only once in a while a new band catches my attention (Bulldog Courage and Refuse Resist are the latest examples).

Anyway I've recently downloaded a demo by a band called Race Riot and I gotta tell you I'm blown away. Great mix of hc, Oi and punk with catchy melodies and a healthy dose of aggro. Check'em out: http://www.myspace.com/raceriot59

panzerkreuzer - 1-27-2010 at 05:27 PM

yeah, race riot are the best i heard for a really long time. they threw bdc out of my player.

I was never able to really get into H8inc. Always wanted to because I love the Detroit hardcore scene and their link to Cold As Life made me want to support them. I recently got my hands on A Clockwork Misery and I can not stop listening to it, the album is amazing.

BKT.

morgan - 1-27-2010 at 09:44 PM

Really haven't been listening to much hardcore lately.

MattyA - 1-27-2010 at 10:00 PM

Been listening to Wisdom in Chains, and thats really it.

M.Alki - 1-28-2010 at 02:13 AM

I would happily only ever listen to Burn and The Icemen on repeat but for the sake of getting with recent times-
Wisdom In Chains, Trapped Under Ice and Cold World are all ones i have been listening to a fair bit lately.

yeah i'd never been a huge fan until we played with them and CAL a year ago or so. My old flatmate used to listen to them a lot so i knew the songs but wasn't a huge fan either way. Then I heard A Clockwork Misery and it totally knocked me for six. Such a great album. I was playing it to some friends of mine last week when we were all drunk and they were all wide eyed like: 'who the fuck is this again?!'

It's a perfect mix of the cleaner sound/production of Life of Pain (some really great riffs and killer NA cover with JB singing...but it just seemed to drag after repeated plays) and the more memorable songs of the demo/Fraternal Order of Felons (this is fucking hate personified...theres some really scary crusty shit going on all over that disc, I bought the demo tape one time at a CAL show back in the day and instantly established an evil mythology to the band...intense shit).

It's really an incredible album...only song I skip is the last one.

Yesterday was all about metal, the majority of which was Razor. Best metal band Canada ever spit out.

This morning has been all Backfire and Subhumans (Canada).

DaveMoral - 2-24-2010 at 03:55 PM

Rocking Bloodclot! Burn Babylon Burn right now.

Yesterday:
Comeback Kid

Haven't really been listening to much music outside of work, lately.

Though I did listen to the new Cash - American VI. Good last recordings.

Most days there is an hour or so I spend listening to Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, Skid Row and Whitesnake, it's essential...

As for hardcore, lately been listening a lot to The Mongoloids, Krutch and War Hungry.
