BDx13 - 6-3-2005 at 09:10 AM

I had never heard of them until I read yesterday that they signed to Ferret.

I saw them open for someone at CBs. Might have been Bane on their tour with Comeback Kid and With Honor actually. I thought they were alright. I picked up their 7", but Ive been lazy and havent listened to it much.

I like them. Just have 4 tracks from 'em. Want me to email s'body some mp3s?
They are from Upstate NY.

brooklyn - 6-3-2005 at 09:59 AM

sad they went to Ferret. They would fit on Thorp!

brooklyn - 6-3-2005 at 10:00 AM

and they tour with AF: fits perfectly

brooklyn - 6-3-2005 at 10:01 AM

strange also cuz their new album -set for August - was supposed to be on reflections records

brooklyn - 6-3-2005 at 10:02 AM

oh got it: the No love, ho hope ep is still set for reflections for August, their stuff after that will be on Ferret

SAAAAARS - 6-3-2005 at 12:24 PM

they played maine the other day but i reached my show quota for the week.

Killthehumans - 6-3-2005 at 09:37 PM

they sound ok...but lyrics are too emo

tireironsaint - 6-3-2005 at 10:41 PM

I like the name, I was actually thinkin' about using that name at one point, but now I guess I can't. Based on the descriptions here I'm not even gonna bother with checkin' 'em out. If somebody says anything is emo at all, I know I won't be able to stand it. And if it's affiliated with Ferret, same thing goes. Oh, and if they're playing with AFI....same thing goes.

KyleOz - 6-3-2005 at 10:44 PM

snoozefest

brooklyn - 6-4-2005 at 02:35 AM

hey, they are playing w/ AF. Ferret... I know, not the best label,... but Madball signed w/ 'em

tireironsaint - 6-4-2005 at 08:14 AM

Madball doesn't change a thing for me. I know everybody loves 'em, but the only Madball record I dig is the very first one when Freddy was 12 or whatever. Everything after that......

tireironsaint - 6-4-2005 at 09:00 AM

Oh, I just caught on to that being AF, not AFI. Oh well, one tier of my three tiered reasoning has been shot down.

i stopped listening to lyrics (for the most part) so long ago, i didn't even notice. however, the new ramallah has the most intriguing lyrics i've heard in years.

Personally, I think the whininess factor is what makes lyrics emo. It's one thing to write a song about how you hate the world for fucking you over day after day or about getting your heart broken and stomped on, it's completely different to cry about what a victim you are or to try to win girls to your side by writing songs about how they're helpless things that need to be protected from us cavemen.
