Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

important research question...

BDx13 - 2-24-2010 at 02:46 PM

if you're drinking a cold one, is it more likely to be in a can or a bottle?

Discipline - 2-24-2010 at 02:47 PM

Draft would be first choice, but I'll take bottles over cans.

XHonusWagnerX - 2-24-2010 at 02:55 PM

cans.... bottles are to expensive

Vanilla Gorilla - 2-24-2010 at 03:11 PM

Draft or out of a pint glass when possible, then bottle, then can.

Jason the Magnificent - 2-24-2010 at 03:15 PM

I'd rather have draft, but sometimes that's not feasible...i.e. I have to leave the bar on occasion.

It also depends on the beer, on wether it comes FROM a can or bottle...but never ever, unless I'm somewhere outdoors or some other barbarian wasteland do I drink OUT OF a can or bottle. It always gets poured in a glass.

"Reasearch"? You making a THORP beer and wanting to kno weather to go with cans or bottles? ;)

MattyA - 2-24-2010 at 03:44 PM

Draft, bottle, Then cans. If I have cans at home I will usually put it in a glass.

that would be funny!
actually, koozies are in the works.

M.Alki - 2-24-2010 at 04:23 PM

I'm the same way. I always pour it in a glass. I usually only buy cans in the summer, because I relate drinking cans to when I use to go camping all the time with my buddies.

JawnDiablo - 2-24-2010 at 04:37 PM

i prefer draft.
i go for bottles at home though.
and even when i do have cans or bottles, i pour it into one of my many beer glasses i have collected over the last 15 years.

barc0debaby - 2-24-2010 at 04:44 PM

With the exception of a few choice pints, good beer doesn't come in cans.

newbreedbrian - 2-24-2010 at 04:50 PM

Always in a glass unless there's absolutely no chance of that. Then bottle, then can.

DAK - 2-24-2010 at 06:19 PM

I pour both into a glass. I vote can for my soda.

Mark Lind - 2-24-2010 at 06:26 PM

I wouldn't do the koozies unless they were giveaway items. I've seen too many bands get stuck with them and can't unload them. Just my 2 cents.

SS76 - 2-24-2010 at 06:45 PM

bottle

morgan - 2-24-2010 at 06:56 PM

Out of a glass if possible but otherwise bottles over cans.

JawnDiablo - 2-24-2010 at 08:32 PM

did you ever do pint glasses?
if so how did i miss that?

Yea. I would buy.

Spoiler - 2-24-2010 at 09:00 PM

I like to drink most beers from the bottle.......but PBR is better straight from a can.

JawnDiablo - 2-24-2010 at 09:14 PM

my dad used to buy PBR in cases of quarts when i was a wee lad
that and Gennessee cream ale....

really? how much were they selling them for?
we are planning to do some for the business - seems like a reasonable fit.
for them to take on the road and to include in bundles in the store.

we were going to do some pint glasses last fall, but there were some issues.
some day...

morgan - 2-25-2010 at 12:14 AM

I'd love to get a hold of a Thorp/SGR pint glass.

clevohardcore - 2-25-2010 at 12:21 AM

For the record I read in a beer mag a while back that CANS were best because they brought in no light and that the most style of beer required to be cold. Again making the can better because it cooled much quicker and better able to be enjoyed.

barc0debaby - 2-25-2010 at 12:23 AM

Limited edition Thorp Beer steins. I'd save up some dough for that.

clevohardcore - 2-25-2010 at 12:27 AM

A BEER STIEN with the anchor on it? That would be cool.

DaveMoral - 2-25-2010 at 03:39 AM

I drinks me Root Beer out of bottles and cans. 'Specially if I can afford to buy some Virgil's.

mattybar - 2-25-2010 at 08:22 AM

bottles for me.
cans if it's street beers.
pints ONLY if i trust the bar clean their pipes regularly. had way too many dodgy draught experiences!

Oh yeah, this is happening...

BDx13 - 3-3-2010 at 02:40 AM
