Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

Album details and new MP3s from THE KINGS OF NUTHIN'

BDx13 - 3-3-2010 at 11:05 AM

On May 11th, 2010, the wait will be over. The musical cravings of the masses will finally be satiated by the release of Old Habits Die Hard by Boston's favorite sharp-dressed screw-ups, THE KINGS OF NUTHIN'.

Old Habits Die Hard is the band's first all-original full length since 2002's Fight Songs. Recorded at The Outpost (Dropkick Murphys, The Unseen, Blood For Blood, etc), Old Habits Die Hard is classic KON -- a mystifying mixture of Joey Ramone huffing paint and Little Richard sniffing glue. Laced with pounding cadences of wild R&B and the punk rock that inspired it, all woven into one potent tapestry of rock n roll chaos.

Download two MP3s from the album, "Black And Blue" and "Old Habits Die Hard," here:

And now through May 10, you can preorder Old Habits Die Hard and all new KON merch at a huge savings - $8 for the CD, $15 CD/Tshirt bundles and $14 digital download/Tshirt bundles! Plus, the 100th person to order any SGR bundle wins a free iPod!

I'd love a kings of nuthin t-shirt but its the shipping that cripples me,plus i had my chance to get one when they last played over here, but the same as most times i'm barred from the venue they played at! It would seem same venue's don't like it when you punch someone in the face then boot them in the head from a standing point for them punching you in the face first. Meh!

Mark Lind - 3-3-2010 at 12:56 PM

Cha- ching! I just got Kings of Nuthin, Hollowpoints and Angel City Outcasts.

BDx13 - 3-3-2010 at 01:02 PM

hahaha, thanks, mark.

the aco, kon and hollowpoints preorders just went up yesterday. we haven't really started pushing them yet, because we're still waiting on the business preorders to go up (should be by the end of the week). all of the preorders are priced aggressively - $8 CDs, $6.99 digital, $14 and $15 tshirt bundles...

morgan - 3-3-2010 at 01:13 PM

Can't wait for this.

Dude, is that you in your avatar picture? If so, you look like that picture of Ozzy after he bit the head off the dove.

Totally want the CD bundle but the shipping is the same as the item itself. So going to have to wait!

panzerkreuzer - 3-3-2010 at 02:32 PM

@wez, what size do you need. i have one in large that i donīt wear anymore. i wore it about two times or so. you can have it and postage from germany to the uk isnīt that much.

WoW! Thats such a nice gesture..But i'm only slight. Small/medium.

But thank you for the offer. Made me smile that did.

tireironsaint - 3-3-2010 at 05:09 PM

Been waiting for this! Is that date in May the street date for the release or is that when the pre-orders ship out? I'm ordering as soon as I get home either way, but I know you usually have an early date for online orders.

BDx13 - 3-3-2010 at 06:47 PM

yeah, we're doing it a little different this time, saint...

historically, we'd received an item a few weeks before the street date, put it up in the store immediately, then ship orders out as they came through. the impetus to buy direct from the label was that you got the music early.

this time, we're doing a more traditional preorder. the street date is may 11. all preorders taken between then and now will ship the thursday before (may 6), so as to arrive BY the street date. the motivating factor this time is the price. we've NEVER discounted new items before, but we wanted to give it a try.

there's a whole bunch of other news and events surrounding these releases that'll be coming out over the next few weeks - contests, promotions, a tour, all kinds of crap, so stay tuned.

also, thanks to everyone for their support, enthusiasm and honest opinions on all these releases.

If there is a tour send it through or near Raleigh please.

tireironsaint - 3-3-2010 at 07:26 PM

Fair enough, BD. That is a fantastic price.

As far as touring goes, I would KILL to see these guys so any help sending them out this way would be amazing and much appreciated.
