After 15 years of hushed whispers, infrequent live gigs, and a stubborn single minded adherence to their hardcore ethics, STARKWEATHER are embarking on their first tour ever! From August 25th till September 4th the pioneers of creepy metal/hardcore will be hitting the Ieperfest in Belgium on August 26th, followed by a slew of maniacal shows in the UK, Germany, France, The Netherlands, ? All other dates will be announced soon. The tour will feature songs from their upcoming album "Croatoan" as well as songs from "Crossbearer", "The Philly Dust Crew", and "Into The Wire".

STARKWEATHER is brutal, beautiful and haunting, combining an unparalleled level of pure emotion and the most twisted lyrics, with the most awe-inspiring, brutal and eerie music you'll ever hear. Their newest endeavor Croatoan is an album that?s been 2 years in the making. They?ve endured periods of dormancy, but now they have "officially" reawakened with Croatoan, featuring the core lone up of Resmini, Forkin, and Rosa, with additional percussion provided by Tim Simmons. While it?s their first release in nearly a decade, it?s fresh yet vicious, kinda like a grizzly on its first hunt for food after awaking from its hibernation period.

The music was recorded at Wild Studio in Canada with Pierre Remillard. Vocals were laid down at Woodcrest Studio in a Philadelphia suburb with Tommy Lander. Mixing took place a year later back at Studio Wild, followed by mastering with Alan Douches. Fans of TODAY IS THE DAY, CONVERGE, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, OVERCAST and GORGUTS will rejoice.

We will be surfacing a new song from ?Croatoan? in the next couple of days. The tentative release date of the 2xLP has been set for August 15th. We're pulling out all the goods on this one: deluxe gatefold, Paul Romano artwork (MASTODON, EARTH, GODFLESH), coloured vinyl?nothing will stop you from getting the collector?s gem.

holy shit! when you were talking about going to belgium a while ago i was excited and ready to go there to see you guys, but that you would actually tour here (netherlands) is the best news i've heard all week. when the time gets there i'll be sure to promote you guys at some local metal forums.
so i guess liam won't be playing as he'll still be on the gigantour with dep. are he and winters still in the band? regardless this is great news

I'd like to bring everyone with us, to be honest. Shako Ken-August 25, Amsterdam is a potential Netherlands show. I don't really have anything to say about Liam and Jim right now. Safe to say they're both pretty busy...

Duane, about "ok, I'll go", just say the word. I swear to god, I keep looking for that fuck Ashton Kutcher to jump out and say "you're punk'd, biatch". We put some other songs (old ones) up on myspace. We'll eventually have both of our old albums up so people can have them for free. Just found out that that cunt john dudeck pressed blue vinyl 'into the wire' Lp's. that motherfucker better stay way clear of me.
