...CR83. My girls are in Chicago on a spring break trip. I'm having shit done at the house, dog is at his cousins during the work day. I have
cooked the shit out of some roast beef and stew since the girls don't like the smell. Problem is that I forgot feed my little one's fish and one
died. I'm replacing it this evening as a swap out. I'm sure she'll notice but hey....I can't leave it not replaced.
Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

nah, you're doing the right thing.
funny, our kids are the same age and i told mine she had to wait until she was 8 to get a fish.
mostly cause i don;t want to deal.

dude, if the worst thing you did was forget to feed her fish and then feel so bad about it that you need to try and replace it without her noticing...
you're a pretty fucking amazing dad. too many abandon or abuse their kids, and you're worried that your kid will notice that your attempt to keep
kid83 happy as a clam will backfire.
seriously, you're doing alright.

So far so good on the fish front. Fishie aka Lizzie II has made it and is eating. Little Ms. R83 is none the wiser. mrs. R83 is hip to what went
down and I have full support.
Life is good again. Thanks All.

At least you don't get this line everytime there's trouble, or your kids cause themselves to get a bump or something, "You're not my best friend."
That's me, happens a couple times a day.
