In an unusual development, according to this story, Gavin Rossdale of 90s act Bush has formed a new band called Institute with members of Civ,
Chamberlain, Helmet, Rival Schools and others. Rather than take the solo route, Rossdale aimed to produce something "heavier" by teaming up with
hardcore veterans. Specifically, Gavin is joined by former Helmet/ Orange 9mm guitarist Chris Traynor; bassist Cache "Utah Slim" Tolman, formerly of
Civ, Rival Schools and exploratory jazz metalloids Iceburn; and drummer Charlie Walker (Chamberlain, Split Lip). The debut will be produced by Page
Hamilton and is expected this fall.gavin - 6-8-2005 at 11:37 AM
