Did he have a solo record come out? I just saw something saying "Freddy Madball - Catholic Guilt" - November 4th.

Did it come out or is it coming out late this year?

Anyone got it, I'm curious to hear it.

It is a rap album if I'm not mistaken. I am very grateful for tons of the music Freddy has put out but there's no way I can get behind any sort of rap album. Just not my deal.

yeah its definitly rap, but I'm curious to hear it

Here it is: http://www.mediafire.com/?mj1unwmmuyt

Some of it is really good and some of it is really bad. That being said it was actually a lot better then I thought it was going to be. He has some really good guest appearances on the album including Vinnie Paz from Jedi Mind Tricks and Slaine from La Coka nostra.

id say it a pretty solid rap album

with that said, theres not a whole lot of rap albums where every track is good

its worth picking up for sure

im been jamming it almost exclusively on my 300 mile a day trips back and forth across the district meeting with potential supporters/voters the last few days

spyderdog - 5-19-2010 at 05:04 AM

BTW the track "gunshots" is super super good

those LCN guys totally kill it on just about everything they are involved with

Just listened to Gunshots and that was a good track. Thankfully Freddy raps like a RAPPER and not a hardcore vocalist trying to rap (Diablo). I was kind expecting him to try and rap like his hardcore vocal style which would have been dreadfull.

Slaine is hands down one of the best MC's right now. White Man Is the Devil Vol.2 is so good.

Slaine is easily my favorite MC out there now. Here's one of my favorites

Freddy Madball rapping>the guy from the Transplants rapping.

They should sack that dude and get Freddy. He's convincing. Plus his vocal style in Madball has a rap swing to it already so it's not out of character for him. I generally hate rap music but that was a catchy tune.

mattybar - 5-19-2010 at 11:29 AM

i can't really get behind any hardcore dudes gone hip hop.

i don't mind what i've heard of Slaine though.
Rich Man Poor Man is a banger with a heavy Premo-style beat behind it.

as far as hip hop goes, i'm kinda happy being stuck in the 90s and listening to what i know i love already.

I've seen Freddy doing his rap thing live twice, once in London supporting Necro and once in NY.
Both times, I didnt like it. His flow isnt totally awful but he isn't good in my opinion.
I love rap and I love hiphop, mainly older stuff but, everyone seems to think they can be a rapper these days and most of them really cant.

Mark Lind - 5-19-2010 at 12:42 PM

I watched a couple of videos by that Slaine guy and he sounded like Eminem to me.

mattybar - 5-19-2010 at 12:51 PM

when Freddy played with Necro every now and again you'd hear somebody shout "play Set It Off!" which was a total flashback to when I saw Roger Miret do a set with Lady Luck back in 95 in NY.

It was the first time I ever went to CBGB's and there was this big crew of dudes smoking blunts and shouting "play Victim in Pain!" through most of the set haha
