Six66Mike - 6-11-2010 at 09:06 AM

Screw soccer, I got my new media player & atleast a dozen hockey games from last years NHL playoffs, World Juniors & 2010 Olympics to catch up on! :singing:

This media player rules so hard out of the box, so excited to start dumping large HD hockey games and watching that on the 46" plasma.

wez138 - 6-11-2010 at 09:07 AM

BKT - 6-11-2010 at 12:43 PM

Never been able to get into soccer. I think I will stick to the downhill mountain bike trails for the entire world cup.

BKT.

MattyA - 6-11-2010 at 11:18 PM

So glad France didn't win today, South Africa vs Mexico was a good match. Getting ready to watch more games tomorrow morning.

Discipline - 6-12-2010 at 12:19 AM

Outside of fighting, the only sport I'll sit down and watch is soccer (it's FOOTBALL dammit). I'm not a die hard fan, but I like to take in a game every now and then.

moforn - 6-12-2010 at 01:36 AM

Can't say I really follow football but I'll likely try to catch a couple matches. This will be my first world cup in Toronto and I guess the city goes crazy for it- especially my neighborhood (little Portugal). There seems to be flags on every second car and bars are opening at 10 every morning to show the games (including the strip club around the corner from me!).

Voodoobillyman - 6-12-2010 at 01:31 PM

1 hour to the the big match! USA! USA! USA! South Korea made Greece look like a pee wee league team :)

Voodoobillyman - 6-12-2010 at 01:34 PM

I am lucky armed forces network got the rights to broadcast the matches, it is keeping us going out here right now.

morgan - 6-12-2010 at 09:25 PM

Missed the US England match today. Gonna have to catch the others.

MattyA - 6-12-2010 at 10:44 PM

Awesome game, that was a big draw by the US. I cannot brlieve that Green let that ball go in, he must be sick to his stomach right now.

Voodoobillyman - 6-13-2010 at 04:13 AM

A draw is a victory for the US. Next up, Slovenia

MattyA - 6-13-2010 at 12:35 PM

Can't believe all the goalies letting in some of these shots, the guy from Algeria looked like he was scared of the ball.

Toronto is a madhouse during the world cup. When I was doing doing my student placement at the Toronto courts there was a day a few cops who were supposed to testify got called out because Italy was playing and they knew it was going to get nuts. The judge laughed his ass off and let them go. It was pretty funny.

MattyA - 6-13-2010 at 07:08 PM

Anyone else getting annoyed with those stupid trupets the South African fans are blowing, bothering the shit out of me. Thank god they are banning them after this year.

DeLorenzo - 6-15-2010 at 01:02 PM

Definitely going to be an interesting contest this time around....lots of weird calls....too many draws....there's no way the US should have had a draw in that England match..Green should break his own legs.

Brazil / Korea should be a great one.

BDx13 - 6-15-2010 at 01:12 PM

DeLorenzo, welcome to the board!

MattyA - 6-15-2010 at 01:38 PM

Been some good matches so far, wish Portugal lost , can't stand Ronaldo. Bitch was diving all over the place, cannot stand the way he plays. Brazil is probrably going to destroy North Korea.

DeLorenzo - 6-15-2010 at 03:12 PM

Thanks BD

I have been listening to the matches at work on ESPN streaming radio...the sound of those horns is insane....

I am hoping for a Brazil victory..pushing for my fellas Julio Cesar and Maicon!!

MattyA - 6-16-2010 at 05:38 PM

Spain upset by the Swiss, Slovenia captain saying they are going to beat the US. Love it, shits starting to heat up!

BDx13 - 6-16-2010 at 05:41 PM

where are youz watching these games?

MattyA - 6-16-2010 at 11:02 PM

Just watch ESPN, they are on all morning, and early afternoon.

DeLorenzo - 6-17-2010 at 12:24 PM

Switzerland!! What an upset!!! I'm happy for them.

Chile over Honduras was acceptable, I didn't get to hear / see the South Africa match yesterday...but red card for their keeper..professional foul...ooof!

Solid Matches today for Argentina and Greece.

Higuain with the hat trick..he is the most loved man in Argentina right now for sure!!

Looking at Mexico to destroy France at 230!

Voodoobillyman - 6-18-2010 at 08:57 AM

mexico handled France and now the US has to put Slovenia to bed! Watching the Germany Serbia match right now

MattyA - 6-18-2010 at 12:47 PM

Usa should have won, that ref was a disgrace. There was no foul on that play. He should be barred from refereeing any other matches, let the players play!

Johnny_Whistle - 6-18-2010 at 02:15 PM

Horrible, horrible call. I counted at least three US players with Slovenia defenders draped all over them, and the ref goes against the US. Absolutely ridiculous.

DeLorenzo - 6-18-2010 at 02:25 PM

How about the ref during Germany / Serbia....9 yellow cards, 1 red card...They said he gave something like 11 Reds in 17 La Liga matches!!! INSANE!!

I'm ready for England / Algeria in 5 minutes!

DeLorenzo - 6-18-2010 at 04:26 PM

Nil All.....England, really?

MattyA - 6-18-2010 at 07:29 PM

England drawing is good for the US, hopefully the US play better early in the game againest Algeria. This waiting till the second half to turn up the tempo shit has got to stop.

DeLorenzo - 6-18-2010 at 09:11 PM

you see, I am a treasonous bastard though and would love to see England advance over the US:singing:

Johnny_Whistle - 6-23-2010 at 12:00 PM

USA wins the group!!!!!!!

MattyA - 6-23-2010 at 01:55 PM

That was the most nerve racking game ever, so many chances to score it was unbelievable. Next match is saturday at 2, can't wait to see who they play.

DAK - 6-23-2010 at 04:04 PM

wow

panzerkreuzer - 6-23-2010 at 05:02 PM

germany vs. england!
revenge vor 66!! :starhit:

MattyA - 6-26-2010 at 09:48 AM

Knockout stage starts today, USA vs Ghana today at 2. Who else is pumped, USA USA!

JawnDiablo - 6-26-2010 at 11:20 AM

http://g.sports.yahoo.com/soccer/world-cup/video/news-179752...

MattyA - 6-26-2010 at 11:41 AM

Thats the stupidest thing I have ever seen. They will put anything on the news now a days.

MattyA - 6-27-2010 at 12:42 AM

Well that went to shit for the US, what was going on with those 2 goals. I thought the goal againest England was easy, They just handed them to Ghana on a silver plater. Dissapointed at the result, hopefully they can take something positive from it.

panzerkreuzer - 6-27-2010 at 08:35 AM

today england goes home!!!

MattyA - 6-27-2010 at 08:46 AM

Definately going to be a good match, and I am with Panzer. England is going home.

JawnDiablo - 6-27-2010 at 10:54 AM

A little late on this one, but I will quote my fat drunken friend Slater, "yeah the US lost but at least they don't have to go home to fuckin Ghana".

BDx13 - 6-27-2010 at 11:44 AM

i couldn't believe the first goal ghana got. how did that many US players let him get that in?
if i remember correctly, the second goal they scored was pretty impressive considering how off kilter it was.

DAK - 6-27-2010 at 01:41 PM

The US give up too many easy goals.

DAK - 6-27-2010 at 01:43 PM

Congats to Deutschland.

MattyA - 6-27-2010 at 02:28 PM

US got lucky, but you couldn't expect them to keep coming back like they had been. Especially twice in one game, it was bound to catch up with them and it did. Gonna start pulling for Germany to win now hopefully they can pull it off. Great game earlier, thank god England is out. Love it when they lose.

DeLorenzo - 6-27-2010 at 09:06 PM

Now that the US is out all of the people who come around every 4 years can go back to not giving a shit about soccer.

It's a shame for England but whatever. I am pulling for one of my Inter Boys to bring the cup home so I'm lookin at Brazil, Argentina and the Netherlands in particular.

This World Cup has been for shit anyway.

MattyA - 6-28-2010 at 10:53 PM

It definately could be better, but that's what you get when everyone playing is just getting off of playing for their club teams. What do they play 9-10 months get a couple of weeks off then have to go and play this tournament. Don't care how in shape you are it's going to catch up with you.

Voodoobillyman - 6-29-2010 at 08:34 AM

The US club perfomed admirably. Germany stomped England a new asshole, that was crazy. Now it's back to MLS, DC United!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DeLorenzo - 6-29-2010 at 03:12 PM

I am (im)patiently waiting for August and Serie A / EPL to come back

MattyA - 6-29-2010 at 03:41 PM

I like the EPL, Serie A, and Bundasliga. Love waking up and being able to watch all morning long. Hopefully the MLS will be able to be as good as the rest of the league's around the world, it gonna take a while before that happens though.

SLF - 6-29-2010 at 05:04 PM

Here we go Germany.

MattyA - 7-2-2010 at 07:28 PM

Cannot believe how the Ghana vs Uraguay match ended. Had to be one of the best matches so far, can't believe he missed that penalty kick at the end.
