I had never heard of either till I went to a friends house who was about 45 minutes in so they restarted the movie for us. I liked it, the others really didn't.

I agree with you...but it's hard to make a bad movie with McCarthy's source material. I suppose we should be thankful so far that most of his adaptions have been "good" movies and not Hollywood slop.

Even with the moderate changes I don't think anyone's going to top No Country' when it comes to adapting his stuff.

I've read most of his stuff if you like him and haven't read Blood Meridien give it a read its my favorite of his stuff. Read Child of God if you want to read his most fucked up stuff. I still have to read sutree i got it sitting in a box somewhere.
