Wow...

http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/38268129/ns/today-foodwine/?gt...

Had to read the article to find out it is not infact a liquified sandwich but a can with basically a hotdog bun and jelly or bbq chicken packets to make a "Candwich"...

MattyA - 7-22-2010 at 08:26 AM

That seems like it would be gross.

JawnDiablo - 7-22-2010 at 08:53 AM

I'm against it...holy cow

XHonusWagnerX - 7-22-2010 at 09:03 AM

WOW... thats awesome and terrible all at the same time!

Johnny_Whistle - 7-22-2010 at 09:58 AM

And you can wash it all down with some Clamato.

The caption to the picture in the linked story sums it all up:

"Have you been hankering for a food product that can roll around inside your car for months before you eat it? If so, look no further."

when i was in Canada all these people were mixing this puke with their beers....it was weird.

I'd try the Candwich.
Looks like military rations from 50 years ago.

I think people use clamato for bloody marys.
I know I don't, but to each his own...

This shit should not exist. Me and my buddies tried the budlight with clamato once. WE all tried to do a shot of it, it was even worse than you think it would be.

XnMeX - 7-22-2010 at 11:05 AM

If that stuff sells, I am going to make "SHRIMPANADE" which as it sounds, will combine the classy taste of gulf Shrimp with the summertime favorite of kids and adults, Leomonade!

Johnny_Whistle - 7-22-2010 at 12:07 PM

Clamato has been around for many years now. I remember in the late 90s being at a comedy festival in Aspen that had Clamato as a sponsor. It was the joke of the fest. Everybody talked about it, nobody would drink it. And yet it's still around. Candwiches will be huge. Hell, you can get canned bread in the supermarket already. B&M (the baked bean folks) have been selling it for years.

moforn - 7-22-2010 at 01:46 PM

Clamato is used for Caesars up here (basically a Bloody Mary with fish). Laugh all you want but once you get a taste for them you'll never go back, plus for some reason it's considered a perfectly acceptable drink to have with breakfast.
I agree that clamato on it's own is gross- but add some vodka, worchestire sauce, celery salt and tabasco and you've got a perfect way to start the day.

Discipline - 7-22-2010 at 01:49 PM

Lots of people I know use Clamato for Bloody Mary's and Red Eye's. I like neither of them.

As for Canwiches, you'd have to pay me to eat one. Although, it made me think of a movie I watched where a guy wanted to invent Sprayonaise. "You know, like mayonaise, but a spray."

BDx13 - 7-22-2010 at 01:59 PM

please explain the 'fish in a bloody mary' thing, please.

Probably the clam in the clamato and the fish in the Worcestershire sauce.

That shit looks foul. Fucking hell, I think I would stop drinking entirely if that was the only booze available.

Dave - 7-22-2010 at 02:21 PM

Clamato Juice = a drink made primarily of reconstituted tomato juice concentrate with spices and clam broth.

Also = Gross.

My dearly departed Mom used to drink Clamato & Moosehead Beer, all the time.....I never understood why to this day.

I saw the stuff in Yarget one day and had to explain to my girlfriend what I saw it used for .
She looked like she was a bout to get ill.

morgan - 7-22-2010 at 07:10 PM

Can't claim I would ever consider consuming either of those products.

stateofdisgrace - 7-23-2010 at 11:02 AM

Would not eat.....so bad....yuck. '
Great idea though. It will make money in the ghetto....
