I'm the Biggest Loser

XHonusWagnerX - 8-12-2010 at 09:09 AM

I've been posting in the 'resolution forum' but I'm pretty psyched so I wanted to post it here too.

I've been in a biggest loser style contest at work for weight lost and in the last 45 days I've lost 38 pounds. I havent eaten meat in almost 3 months (until tomorrow!) and I hadnt had a soda in over 6 weeks (until a few minutes ago).

My plan is to take the weekend off and then start again on Monday because I still have more weight to lose, but I'm pretty happy with myself and I'm motivated enough to keep going!

We wont know until tomorrow, but my team is 99% sure we won the contest and the prize is $97.50 per person (4 person team). Our total weight loss should be just under 100 pounds for about 8.5%, but my personal loss of 38 pounds is a little over 12%

Duuuude, that is impressive and awesome man.
I am waiting for our gym to open again. (my apartment development has a decent gym, and it is now free to tenants. been closed undergoing renovations).
If I lost 38lbs I'd feel like a new man.

Congratulations, that's great!

^ Those are two of the most important points. What a great feeling that must be.

Add to that, the fact that you're doing your body and your health a huge favor by shedding that weight. This kind of weight loss coupled with exercise literally puts years back on your life. You're inspiring ME, Honus!

Keep up the good work man! I couldn't go 3 weeks without meat...

Great job man! I've been trying to cut back on the soda as a way of helping my attempt at weight loss. I don't know how you do it. Quitting drugs, booze, and smoking were all easier than quitting my Diet Coke addiction.

I'm gonna see if Moira will give me a colonic when she gets home from work.
Looked like it worked for Usher.

Good Job Honus!!! I gotta get my shit together and get back in the gym.

A-fucking-men.

This shit even motivates me! Go get 'em boys!

Congrats man!

My problem is, I already cut out the soda, and cannot go without meat. I'd have to give up the sugar in my coffee. Ugh.

I will give it a whirl. The step thing sounds like a good idea. I have reams of paper. Nice.

I have 2 weeks, do ya think I can get in shape for the DYS show? LOL.

Stevia, most major stores carry it, and its not to expensive.

ShawnRefuse - 8-15-2010 at 09:20 AM

Not a fan. I can kinda drink some of the juices with it. Still seems too good to be true. Fake sweeteners (even "all natural" ones) do not have my trust. I'll force myself for the month to go black. Maybe I wont go back.

Jason the Magnificent - 8-15-2010 at 10:50 AM

Once you go black you probably wont go back.

Sugar is the worst thing you can put in coffee. And a terrible waste of calories.

Back in the day when everyone was getting shit beans and bitter mass produced canned coffee I can see sugar being used to mask bad flavor...but even McDonalds at this point has moved past that, providing good tasting coffee that doesn't need sugar to hide anything.

Coffee is one of the best flavors on earth...once your palate gets used to it you wont need the sugar.

Occasionally I'll drop enough cream in it to just change the color...but that is more of a texture than a flavor.

Thanks to BD for complimenting my 38 pound loss in person. I just hope that the Redding Market lunch & Breakfast + Amish Donuts and a Genos cheesesteak didnt fuck it up to bad!
