Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

Well produced (band endorsed) albums with a crustier version...

Was thinking about this noticing the love for Ugly and Proud in that Sheer Terror thread...

What else is there in the way of complete albums where there's 2 different versions?

ST - Ugly/Thanks

Judge - Chung King/ Bringing it Down

Black Sabbath - Born Again/ Born Again demo version

raw power

Suicidal Tendencies - self titled first LP
and
Suicidal Tendencies - Still Psycho After All These Years

maybe raw power dosent count.
the o.g. bowie version was out forever til they remastered it in the 90s
the remastered version is fucking unreal

Jason the Magnificent - 8-27-2010 at 01:54 PM

Hmm....the Suicidal one is almost a different beast since it was revisiting something YEARS later. That could probably be it's own category.

Dead Boys' Younger, Louder and Snottier is a killer board mix of their first album. I think you can still get it at Interpunk.

I prefer a lot of the tracks on younger snotier to the normal release specifically I wanna know what Love is

The Slapshot "Greatest Hits, Slashes & Crosschecks" is kind of like this too, but not just of one whole album

last thing i heard from them / own is Sudden Death Overtime.
Which stuff after that is worth checkin out?

XHonusWagnerX - 8-27-2010 at 10:29 PM

definitly OLDE TYME HARDCORE & 16 VALVE HATE

Digital Warfare isnt bad. Tear It Down has some 'silly' tracks on it.

The Greatest Hits that Bridge 9 put out is worth getting. It songs from Step On It, BOTM & Sudden Death rerecorded and a few from OLDE TYME and 16 Valve that are just remixed

JawnDiablo - 8-27-2010 at 11:06 PM

I'm gonna check all the above.
for some reason I dig Negative FX and Stars n Stripes more than any of the slapshot stuff i heard
aside from hang up yer boots......that song is anthem kinda shit

Jason the Magnificent - 8-28-2010 at 09:15 AM

That re-recorded Slapshot record is great. Good songs played faster always wins.
