Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

new Madball song

JawnDiablo - 8-27-2010 at 05:21 PM

I haven't dug the stuff they put out since the NYHC ep, but I kinda dig this song a bit.
short and sweet.
I'm interested to hear the rest of the new material on the disc

Heard this last night on the B9 link...terribly mediocre. Way too long for the epic boringness of those riffs.

They need to bring back Matt Henderson because everything they've done post him has been on a quick downward spiral...I'm not sure what the deal is with Hold it Down, because that album for "new era" Madball is amazing and he's not on it...but anything past that...

reminds me of district by soia, which is a good song, but this is meh

I agree it's not great, but I like it better then the last 2 cds
maybe it was the 5 cups of coffee

Matt Henderson did an interview a couple months ago on a blog called Double Cross that a dude from Hands Tied does where he says he wrote and recorded with the band for Hold It Down. And he wrote with the band up to and including Legacy. He said Infiltrate The System was the first record they did totally without him. Also, since my brother got to know those dudes in Madball from touring with them he told me Hoya wrote/writes way more than people realize and it wasn't all Matt Henderson...not to take anything away from the dude, he's a total ripper.

Not their best song ever, but it sounds like Madball and I like it.

I like what they are saying with that song. It has always pissed me off when the old heads in American Hardcore say "it's over. move on." Fuck that.

MyOwnWay - 9-2-2010 at 01:48 PM

Love it.

Just found out that the new madball drummer is Max Weinberg's son.
