Underrated lyricists

Thought about this today as I've had DRI blasting for a few hours. Kurt Brecht deserves more respect for his lyrics in my opinion. From the first album to the last, DRI have always had something to say, and I think Kurt does a damn fine job in getting his point across.

Indeed.
DRI always had thought provoking lyrics, even when the music got to be hum drum.

Jesse from Yuppicide. Always on some weird deep shit.

Brian from Neglect... topically the lyrics were some monotonous shit about suicide...but that guy never ran out of things to rhyme with shit about killing ones self...thats some skill there.

a few weeks ago i heard the Neglect don fury sessions at a labor day BBQ, and for one reason or another had never heard them.

Agreed, especially on Yuppicide.
