broke out the machines tonight, this is a lousy live recording

I was joking around with one of my employees talking shit on hipsters and the bad music they like, so I decided fuck it, if they can do it so can I...

stack paper and fuck bitches... words to live by

going to add a bunch more to this and would like to find a crappy girl singer and do noise pop (poop)

somewhere between bjork and sleigh bells style
minimalist noise but put a girl up front with her breasties hanging out and draw in the suckers....
also stuff to just have on in the background to relax to.

now where did I live my pink v-neck shirt and jorts

barc0debaby - 10-10-2010 at 02:57 AM

First.

I don't give a fuck what anyone says, making weird beats can be fun as hell, usually while drunk, but that surely doesn't have to be the case, it's the people who do stuff like this for a living & consider themselves to be innovative musicians who I can't take seriously, just because it's so easy. Listened to the whole thing though, looking forward to the noise pop....

barc0debaby - 10-10-2010 at 03:07 AM

Word, yeah this sucks now. I remember when he wasn't a $ellout. I was there from the beginning man, 8 minutes ago.

Colin - 10-10-2010 at 03:19 AM

the tight pants kids 'll eat it up, i'm telling you

REV.PAULIE - 10-10-2010 at 05:42 AM

Keep making more.

Seriously.

Do I want to listen to it on a regular basis? No.

But,I have an affinity for certaib things like this...Are you a Caberet Voltaire fan? I am.

I can get all kidsa nerdy on ya with this stuff...

REV.PAULIE - 10-10-2010 at 05:43 AM

certain

Vanilla Gorilla - 10-10-2010 at 10:29 AM

I kind of skipped around and listened to a little bit, I think you can probably sell some of that to some company that makes middle eastern video games.

Discipline - 10-10-2010 at 10:45 AM

This kind of stuff is good for background noise when I'm reading.

JawnDiablo - 10-10-2010 at 10:51 AM

making stuff with my drum machine and effects on a 4 track years ago was some of the best free time I spent.

I think it's pretty cool.

kind of like Scorn, with a creepy flute

lifeisabitch - 10-10-2010 at 12:42 PM

wow thanks for the positive feedback
seriously I haven't touched the machines in years,
been too busy with work and family...
I spend more time rereading the owners manuals then I did writing it
i just whipped up some sounds and recorded it
if I still like it today i might actually sequence it and do it for real

I enjoy writing this kind of stuff because there are no limits,
if I want to add jazz or a death metal riff, I can...

if I want to record myself masturbating to midget porn and use it a snare drum, no one can tell me that's wrong... (wait is that wrong)

i also am not using any computers
kid can write stuff like this all day with a few programs, but I am using real keyboards, and effects to get sounds.
i only used my laptop to get a copy of it to post online....

when i go really crazy with this stuff I run my left channel dry into my recorder, and my right channel thru all sorts of guitar effects boxes and use them in mixed together to get stupid sounds...

anyhow thanks again guys... gotta go do some art for work and then might hit the grind
on this again.

Colin - 10-10-2010 at 01:25 PM

it took me until I fucked around with beat machines & keyboards myself to actually realize how cool the stuff is, that's rad you're using real sounds.

LordActionWood - 10-11-2010 at 03:13 PM

Cool.

I have one of those KORG Electribe SX thingys sittings around. About once a quarter I fire it up and pretend I'm in Bronski Beat or the Pet Shop Boys.

ShawnRefuse - 10-12-2010 at 10:10 AM

don't hate it. It's fun.

You have many layers, like tiramisu.

But yeah, this is good late night, after show stuff to relax with. Dig it.

lifeisabitch - 10-12-2010 at 11:47 PM

I am buying some more toys soon to get better recordings...

I always liked to compare myself to a sfogliatelle...A little crustier, layered L.A.M.F,but just as creamy.
