Halloween

Brit - 10-25-2010 at 11:38 PM

So I really, really love Halloween, and I'm going to be so sad once the month's over. I'm such a dork, I've been working on my costume for over a month. I plan on watching "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" sometime this week. Last night I watched this and it made me so happy:
Donald Duck - Trick or Treat

I am alone in my nerdery?

Halloween is the only holiday

The man has got me working this all hallows eve.

It seems like Halloween is the only holiday that still has a special feeling to it. Christmas started to suck once you hit the age of reason, especially now that its a 40 day holiday. Thanksgiving is just Christmas foreplay, Easter is more fake than the mall Santa Claus' beard. Labor day is just a reminder of how much a job can be unsatisfying. But Halloween is and will always be fun.

that's the latest spam technique. humans making actual posts, sometimes trying to be relevant (sometimes not), and sneaking in a link to their store. sad, really. i usually see it within an hour or two, block their ip, ban the account and delete the post.

We are taking the kid to the rich people hood for the good candy.

My folks' neighborhood is probably the busiest I've ever seen for trick or treaters. It's insane, and it goes on for hours.

Haha!

I took my dog for a 3 mile walk today, and it really bummed me out to see that barely any of the houses were decorated :(

My girlfriend started decorating our place for Halloween the day after the first day of fall. she is a hallo-weenie.
I dig it all though.
she has good taste in stuff.
We are going to a Halloween costume party this coming Friday night at her bosses giant mansion of a house.
The dude is super cool and always throws a killer shin dig.
She got a cool sexy flapper girl costume and I stilll have yet to get one.
I can't wait.
My son however is now too big for trick or treating.
Nobody wants to give candy to a kid who is 5 foot 9 165 lbs hand says trick or treat in a deep voice....13 came hard....

unfortunately for him, that's about the time he probably /should/ stop.
personally, i was out well into highschool!

I agree that theres an age where its not cool anymore, but that article about making it a finable offense is insane! Tax money at work!

JawnDiablo - 10-27-2010 at 03:11 PM

and when the hell did it become acceptable to trick or treat WITHOUT a costume?
My parents get shitheads coming up with a pillow case and no damn costume.
Some of these people have full beards....damn!

Nobody has knocked up since we've lived here at our place.

My son will take his younger brother out.
His advantage is he shall reap his brothers rewards being the kid is allergic to most everything that is tasty.

Halloween just bugs the shit out of me now because Australia flops fat dicks about it and nobody does anything. Bunch of whiny bitches "waaah american holiday waaah fuck off". I bitch about it every year for the past 5 years.
