I wear the same shoes for years at a time. I only buy shoes once every 4-5 years.

my work shoes I seem to buy at the same time every year. I only spend about $60. Same with casual shoes. Once a year, $60.

i buy one new pair of skate shoes every year or so, so they're probably $50. dress shoes are almost always docs or gripfasts, and they last forever,
so maybe $150 for them every two or three years. i hate spending money anymore. i just want to hoarde that shit!

I can't believe how fanatical some people are about fucking shoes, and alot of the time they are the same people who are obsessed with having 40
different copies of the same record.
That said, I always have three pairs of shoes:
1. Skateshoes - they get real fucked up every 6 months or so, so when my toes are hanging out I buy a new pair ... generally they cost around $100
2. Nice, going out shoes - Basically a clean pair of shoes to wear anytime i'm not at shows or skating, they normally cost $100
3. Steel Cap boots - I'm an engineering apprentice so these babies save my feet a few times every year, you can't put a price on safety ... they are
normally $150 bucks.
So all up I guess I spend about $400 a year on shoes, it sounds like alot but it's not like it's wasted money ... I'd hate to be a bare foot hippy.

i barely ever buy new shoes. i buy little things like water shoes for 4$, i'd say i spend 60$ on shoes a year. IF that, my shoes last me a long time.
