I just got an ass ton of invites on facebook for shows over in Europe. Mainly for Wisdom In Chains and Madball.
In countries like Austria, Germany, Switzerland etc.....
I know we have a lot of people on here from places outside of the States. I was wondering:
What kind of reception do American bands like this get where you are?
Are they larger shows or smaller ones like we have here in the US? (last time i saw WIC it was in the Barbary which could fit in my apartment)
Do many bands come thru your area?

I was just pleased to see bands like WIC who I think are tip top of the genre enjoying some success where they can tour countries in Europe. at least I think it's a sign of success. But what do I know....

a wic headlining show will catch about 150 to 250 people over here i think. it depends where in germany they play. the east is more for old school bands and the western parts likes more this mosh style.
ask josh about their slapshot shows, in one city you have 400 people showing up, in the next 150.

this is the next tour wic will play. there will come up to more than 1000 people at the best places.
this tour plays my home town (plus most precious blood) and it will surely sell out, what means 850 people.

btw itīs totally easy to tour europe. there are so many connections in the scene that you can catch a show to play anytime. i saw american bands in front of 5 to 20 people ( the briggs or the burning streets were the best example) and the bands were still satisfied.
