yea, real sorry for your fucking pals that died 9/11. i couldnt care less about them. i dont fucking get it, why should the world care so much for your lost ones? are americans worth more than other people? yea, i know, i will be banned, but i cant fucking take it when everybody is supposed to give a shit whenever an american gets killed.

further more, this whole discussion is a fucking joke. its a goddamn drawing, it means nothing. this is a fucking disturbing picture
and its true, this has happened. be more concerned about this, because you cant honestly say that those people killed in wtc were your friends, your family or whatever, just because they were americans.

EDIT : this board has some good people, and the thorp-rooster is fucking awesome, but i have to speak my mind, no matter what. yea, i feel you if you get angry, insulted, or the urge to break every bone in my body, but i know the feeling. my people, as i am half-yugoslavian, was bombed and destroyed during the war. the feeling is just the same, we're not more than humans, and the feelings from person to person are just the same, no matter what.

Todd - 6-29-2005 at 08:12 PM

It's a common human trait to feel the most sympathy and empathy toward people you can relate to most. For me that is Americans, and New Yorkers in particular. It was where I was born and where I hope to die. I can relate to New Yorkers dying much easier than I can relate to People being slaughtered in the former country of Yugoslavia. That doesn't make me a good or bad person and I place no greater price on the lives of Americans than anyone else. The people who I do feel unbelievable pride, respect, and sadness for are the people who ran towards, not away from, the fire. That takes a degree of bravery that I can't fathom.

I don't think it's that difficult, at least not for me, to be deeply saddened by what happened on September 11th AND be disgusted at the way prisoners were treated. The two are not mutually exclusive.

To be devestated by the deaths in downtown NYC is not an automatic endorsement of the war, the republican party, or the guy who happens to be running our country right now.

Telling you to shut the fuck up in the other post was dumb, but the sentiment still stands. 3000+ human beings were incinerated on that day and I was there and it's something that I'll never forget. No need for banning...
