Fugazi Creating Digital Archive of Every Live Show They've Ever Played... and then making it available to the public...

not that I am the biggest fan, but damn it's one thing to record every show you ever played, but then to digitize it and make it available...

and that video at the end of the page is interesting
who knew there were that many lame white kids trying to dance but not getting aggressive.

Always liked FUGAZI. Like em even more as I age.

BDx13 - 5-10-2011 at 11:53 PM

didn't they start this YEARS ago?

Colin - 5-11-2011 at 12:06 AM

I heard Fugazi years before I heard Minor Threat...I remember them being one of the bands on the "alternative" radio station I really liked back in 3rd grade. Still like em.
This is cool they're doing this

i have recently "rediscovered" minor threat after not even hearing them for years and years
they really were a great band
i'm not interested in anything else he did
this seems cool for people into the band
i'd like this for a lot of bands i like

Awesome idea, i'd probably download a few of them, be cool to have the show i saw them play, years ago.

The DVD they put out a while back was good. Some artsy breaks in between interviews and stuff, but a really in depth output from a great band.

First time I saw them live was 1990 at JACK E LEES THEATER in AKRON OHIO. Ian walked out with his Gibson SG and many of the skinheads mouths dropped to the floor. Ian with hair was a surpise back then to a lot of people. Weird. Someone actually mentioned it before the song and Ian dissed him. Great band live

Cool idea, but I can't stand Fugazi.

ShawnRefuse - 5-11-2011 at 05:31 PM

I have always liked them.

ha....yep. That was how I found out about Minor Threat, years before I actually was able to hear them. Early 90's bumfuck touristville Colorado, there wasn't anywhere to find anything remotely underground at the time

I've never liked a single note that I've ever heard this band play. But I just got to thinking about this. How long have these guys been around? Since the mid eighties maybe? To have recorded and then release every live show they ever played IS pretty damn impressive. Only a huge fan would want something like this, but it's a pretty cool idea.I don't think I've ever heard of another band ever doing this. There is recordings of just about every Grateful Dead show, but those are mostly done by fans. Those hardcore deadheads collect hundreds of live recordings.

Sounds like a very old idea that started with Phish some time ago.

I suppose the difference here is Fugazi will probably be for free.
