1 Thess. 5:2; 2 Peter 3:10; Rev. 3:3 - the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
James 5:7 - be patient until the coming of the Lord. Those who try to predict disregard this inspired teaching.
Rev. 22:20 - Jesus says He is coming soon, but He does not tell us when He is coming. Because Jesus says we do not know the day or the hour and will
be surprised at His coming, it is silly, and disobedient, for people and groups to predict His coming. We, instead, need to be about the business of
growing in holiness, so that we are prepared for our Lord when He comes again, no matter when that will be.
it literally took me like 3 seconds to find those passages.
strange how all these people guessed it would happen on saturday and didn't. I thought they were the ones who read the bible, I guess they should
have paid attention to the book.

A site that a frequent often posted up saying "If you believe the Rapture is coming this Saturday please donate all your life savings to Red Cross or
another needy orginization.
I don't feel bad for these people at all.

Amazing how many people were actually believing this. I'm all for a religious lifestyle but actually practice what it is you preach and believe.

I'm constantly amazed how people, in this day and age, can still believe in this shit.

^These folks were let down by no one but the dope that "predicted" this shit, against the Biblical teachings they allegedly believe in as Vanilla
Gorilla pointed out. Worse yet, the guy has pulled this shit before and people still listened to him. Idiots.
Folks get so damn bent out of shape about raptures, apocalypses, armageddons blah blah blah, and have this nasty tendency to gloss over all the "be a
good person" and the altruistic teachings of loving thy neighbor and charity and what not. I'm not the sort of believer that takes for granted his
place in the Hereafter. I may well go to hell, and I'll know exactly what for. It pisses me off that there are so many motherfuckers that took for
granted they'd be "raised up" to be spared the tribulations of the apocalypse... and yet they most likely vote for politicians that hand money and tax
breaks to multi-billionaires and rip funding from schools and programs to help the poor to "balance the budget" while spending billions on the
military industrial complex.
It's bullshit.
