Found out on Monday that my wife's 21 year old nephew was killed in Afghanistan on July 1. I can't imagine what his poor parents are going through.
They had five children, of which, one other is already serving in the Army and another recently enlisted. The bottom photo is of his remains being
returned to Dover AFB on July 2...not the homecoming his family had planned.

DOD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Spc. James A. Waters, 21, of Cloverdale, Ind., died July 1 at Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit
using an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort
Drum, N.Y.
Pfc. Waters was posthumously promoted to specialist.

Terrible news and I am sorry for you and yours. He died a mans death and did it with honor, bravery and valor. None of that can ever be taken or
changed, may we all live and die with just half his character and dedication.
