how are bands getting their music out to new people anymore?
everyone gave up on their own websites and switched to myspace but no one uses that pos anymore and the facebook players are lame...
so how are the young bands getting their demos out

Wait...there's new bands?
Unfortunately probably message boards. The FB players are confusing as hell...I tried to listen to a song this AM and after like 5 clicks I just gave
up.

ReverbNation.com has a lot of bands on it and its free, but the only reason to go there is for music so it doesnt have that random social site aspect
to it which I'm sure means it gets WAY less traffic.

I was still going on myspace for music for a while, but the new pop up player that added is atrocious.

I would always check out myspace to see if any bands I liked were playing shows near me but this new layout they switched over to sucks so badly.

i'm surprised how many links we get from bands directing us to their myspace.
i like being able to queue up songs, but morgan's right, that popup player is atrocious.
let's see what timberlake can do with the site...

Torrents There's a Vanity House section on what.cd and an Artist user class,
plus site compilations released every few months of some of these bands. They upload and promote their own music and can get featured on the comp
which is freeleech and gets 20,000 to 50,000 downloads.

id love to see old myspace make a comeback. it was so much more user friendly before newscorp took over, and its certainly better for the kinda stuff
i do then facebook is
now it just crashes my computer the second i try and log on

you ain't lying, brother. that site crashes my browser a solid 50% of the time i go to it.
