This dude is beyond played out. I went to see him like 2 years ago...his material is too dated. I was sitting in Chicago Theatre with all these 40
somthings laughing there asses off at Carlin repeating words such as pussyfart and getting a standing ovation. I'm sorry, maybe I'm just desensitized
but the word pussyfart just isnt that shocking or cutting edge. Dude was funny like 20 years ago.

While I do enjoy his live shows (well, the recordings of them anyway...) I found the last couple of books he wrote (braindroppings and
napalm/sillyputty) were absolutely fucking hilarious. I realize they were essentially transcriptions of his stand up act, I just found they came
across funnier in print format.

2. i saw george carlin in the early 90s at loyola college (a catholic jesuit school). when he got around to his "synonyms for masterbation" bit, and
started throwing out things like "punch the pope" and "jerk the jesuit" (i think he came up with that one special for the audience), people started
yelling and booing and walking out. i think i laughed.
3. i definitely remember hearing dice for the first time, probably around the same age. is his career is pretty much over these days? i think that
guy will always be a legend to a certain degree because he was pretty much the last person to do what he did.
