Ya those hooks caught me by surprise as well. In a way I like the fact he had the sand to try something different though.
Slaine is a good dude man, one of the nicer people I have had the pleasure of working with and spending time with over the last year.

i think the beer and drugs are definitely to blame here.
dissing someone's girl/family/sexuality/flow etc is all pretty much fair game in battles.
i've seen a million times more offensive stuff said than 'i fucked your girl last night' and most rappers just take it on the chin (haha not

here's a good battle from the uk, the white guy is a pretty well known battle rapper. the black guy is an actor/musician who fucking sucks but gets
respect cos he was part of a 'revolutionary' crew called So Solid (kinda like a low budget uk garage version of wu-tang).
He's promoting a new film of his here where he actually played an MC called 'Life and Lyrics'.

Yes Slaien and his wife divorced and they have a child together and it just went down recently. It was due to his hectic touring, filming and all the
frustrations he went through while trying to put out his new album.
It was just really bad timing on the guys part to be talking shit about Slaines now x-wife. Emotions are already high and when mixed with booze shit
happens.
