Pick a thrash metal album from any period in time and list it below. You can only pick your number one top thrash metal album.

Exodus : Bonded By Blood.

Overkill's Under The Influence is a highly under rated thrash record....solid

Reign In Blood

shit..... I gotta change to Reign In Blood. Slayer is good and in a class of their own that I almost forget they're a 'Thrash Band'.

I like the music a lot with bonded by blood, but I can't stand the vocals. Ruins the album for me.

MikeFromInhuman - 9-2-2011 at 12:07 AM

I agree with Clevo, never a fan of the first Exodus record...I know, we seem to be in the minority!

But if just 1, I would go with SLAYER's "Reign in Blood".

VIO-LENCE "Eternal Nightmare"

honorable mention - SABBAT "History of a time to come"

Monkey_Julius_BoWaffle - 9-2-2011 at 01:56 AM

Im with the OG poster...Exodus BBB is THE greatest thrash album EVER....just my opinion...

honorable mention to poster Moe for mentioning Sabbat....both "History" & "Dreamweaver" are incredible!

The answer is Master of Puppets followed by Ride the Lightning and then And Justice for All.

My favorite album by a thrash band is The Sound of White Noise by Anthrax but I guess that was less thrash and more just metal or dark hard rock.

Six66Mike - 9-2-2011 at 06:45 PM

I'm gonna go new school instead of the old Metallica and Slayer options.

Terror 2000 - Slaughterhouse Supremacy

clevohardcore - 9-3-2011 at 01:05 AM

I'm going say...

Metallica- master of puppets
Slayer- south of heaven
Metallica- kill em all
Anthrax- among the living
Nuclear Assault- handle with care - vocals are an issue, but alot more tolerable than Exodus.

I keep wanting to through some DRI and SUICIDAL TENDENCIES in this. I think they fit the bill as thrash, but hey what do I know.

panzerkreuzer - 9-3-2011 at 05:39 AM

hard choice, at the moment i say:
testament - the legacy
anthrax - among the living
slayer - south of heaven
tankard - alien
sacred reich - surf nicaragua

panzerkreuzer - 9-3-2011 at 06:17 AM

i totally forgot:
Kreator - extreme aggression.
they´re from my hometown and since almost 28 years oneof the best thrash outfits worldwide.

JawnDiablo - 9-3-2011 at 07:15 AM

what if we start this over but exclude Slayer and Metallica?

Six66Mike - 9-3-2011 at 07:54 AM

See my post :D

panzerkreuzer - 9-3-2011 at 08:15 AM

ST's Lights Camera Revolution probably ties with Slayer South Of Heaven for me I guess.....& they're both so different from each other
